"I just left with the WORST hair color experience of my life with Doris. I made an appointment and I was early. There were only two people working so they got to me about 10-15 minutes later than my scheduled appointment time. I came in to get my roots done. I have blonde hair and dark roots in the back and basically white roots in the front. When she asked what we were doing, I said I needed my roots done. I wasn’t trying for highlights or anything, just wanted the same blonde all over. She started and obviously didn’t use a strong enough developer to cover the dark and she didn’t leave it on long enough. The first round the roots were still very orangey and where she put bleach on the front it was totally white. So in for round two with the bleach. She bleached the roots again and added some grey color for the white. So this time when she goes to wash it out, it’s like 15 different colors. The front part is grey and the roots are STILL orange and there is every color in between. I even asked her when she was rinsing the first time if she was going to use a toner (which would have fixed the white initially) and she said we will see how it looks. Well of course it still looks terrible. She asked me to let her fix it. And initially I said yes, but I’d already been there for 2.5 hours and she obviously had no clue what she was doing. And I told her as much and left! Now I’m going to have to spend hundreds of dollars to get it back to the light blonde that it was. Guess I learned my lesson. You get what you pay for. To be fair- I have been there several times before and I have been completely satisfied. But this time was a total bust! To address your response below- First off I called on Friday afternoon and asked to make an appointment. I was NOT told that you don’t make appointments and one was set for 11am. I’m sorry you feel the need to call me a liar…why would I feel the need to lie about that? Next- I have been through the reviews and the only praise I see for Doris is for haircuts not color. If she is the best why would she ask the other stylist for advice, which she did? Next- while I don’t claim my hair is in perfect condition as it is bleached blonde. But blaming ME for her mistakes is not okay. And while I have been in your store before I have never needed to act like this. The other times were satisfactory and tips were left. And it’s been quite a while ago. And I just to clarify - ask the manager if I needed to pay and she shook her head and I left. This is MY hair and it affects the WAY I look. I wasn’t going to give her the opportunity to do more damage. It is bad business to take up for an employee who messed up on her job instead of apologizing for it. It doesn’t matter if everyone else loves her, hands down she messed up my hair and that’s what matters to ME. If I had been asked to pay, I would have done so. And NO WORRIES- I WILL NOT BE BACK!-"
