That French Salon

"I went to this salon solely because it was an "Aveda salon" and I have used Aveda hair color for at least 10 years simply because it is healthier for hair. I went in and showed James a picture of the blonde that I wanted in my hair and he admitted to using L'Oreal on my hair and he fried my hair from leaving it on for way too long. You can feel the difference on the top of my head vs. at the bottom since he didn't use it on my ends nearly as long as the top. The final results look NOTHING like the picture that I showed him. My hair looks white! I have had many people comment on my hair being too light now. I cannot have it fixed right now since I cannot do further damage for now. The salon offered to "fix" it by redoing it, but after this experience, I told them that I do not trust them with my hair and that I wanted a refund or a discount on what I paid. The owner refused to do either. This salon should not even be open. I've grown my hair out for four years now and now, it is ruined. :("

"Was in a bind and needed my hair colored, cut and styled that day. The stylist (Katy) who did my hair, did a fantastic job and colored it precisely the way I had requested. She also massaged my hands while my color was processing under the lights. It was a fantabulous experience. Kudos to That French Salon. I am looking forward to my next appointment."

"I've been going to That French Salon for over 20 years. I've seen a lot of stylists come and go, but the quality has never wavered. There is a steady supply of quality stylists out there but Brigitte has strict rules and expectations of her staff. New stylists that come into her salon (even if experienced) have to prove themselves before being allowed to work on a client's hair. She has regular training for staff and expects them to be professional. Some stylists just can't handle it and choose to go to a booth rental space. Brigitte chose to have a different style of salon over 30 years ago and just the fact that she is still in business says a lot for her management style. I always know what to expect when I go there and its always a good experience."
