"Best dentist around! Everyone in the office is so nice and professional!!"
"I had five bridges completing my dentition, so I know it was not anything near normal. Dr. Martin removed and replaced the upper left bridge, and all went well. The second bridge on the lower right was removed, replaced with a temporary splinted double crown for 50 days due to a storm in Cabot which closed their office on the day of my appointment to have the permanent replacement splinted double crown, then I developed a case of pink eye the following day and my second appointment that week had to be canceled. Day 50 of the temporary I was back in his office for the temporary to be removed and the permanent placed. Removal was difficult and painful and was stopped when they supposedly realized the permanent splinted double crown was not made correctly. In the interim I developed severe pain in the lower right involved teeth and could not tolerate any pressure on that temporary segment. Two weeks later I returned for the new permanent splinted double crown. The temporary required separation into two sections to be removed, then the new permanent splinted double crown was placed and cemented. I was assured the pain would resolve in three days, but it did not resolve after two weeks. Opinions from an endodontist and another dentist vary from two root canals to extraction of the newly crowned teeth. I’ve requested a refund, and my request has been refused. Dr. Martin was highly recommended and we placed our trust in him. Due to the refusal to refund our money, my wife and I will each take our dental business elsewhere. Update: The newly crowned teeth required extraction by an oral surgeon who had equipment which revealed a vertical crack in one of the teeth Dr. Martin crowned. I believe the tooth was cracked during an attempt by his dental personnel to remove the temporary splinted crowns. I felt a different and more intense discomfort as the twisting and pulling occurred. I moaned a little and the attempt at removal was discontinued. I could hear whispered conversation taking place outside the treatment room, and after approximately twenty minutes of this, they returned and said the permanent crowns were not the correct angle, and new crowns would have to be made. Over the next two weeks the pain became more intense, but I was assured that pain would resolve in three days since he believed the sensitivity was due to gum tissue irritation. Their clinic was informed by the oral surgeon of the cracked tooth which they had crowned, but Dr. Martin has refused to this day to refund the price of those crowns. I’d simply suggest that if you have a rather complex dentition, seek a second opinion before allowing Dr. Martin to treat you, or just seek the service of another provider."
"I really like Dr. Martin and want to continue under his care, but the extended wait times of three to four months for existing patients are more than just inconvenient; they can negatively impact patient health. Too much can happen in that span to make such a delay practical. Today I faced this issue firsthand when a long overdue and unexpected family vacation conflicted with our long-awaited appointment. While the scheduling conflict was on us, learning that the next available slot is right before Christmas was very frustrating. I would love to update this review should the situation improve. I truly want to continue with Dr. Martin, but unless wait times are reduced to a more reasonable length, it won't be feasible—both for practical and health-related reasons."
"Friendly staff, got me right in took care of my issue without any hassle. Dr. Martin was very professional and has a great attitude. Would certainly recommend and would use them again."
