"I couldn't be happier with my experience with Flooring by Design. The staff was very helpful at every encounter. Unlike at other local flooring companies, I never had to make an appointment prior to going to the store to look at samples and someone from the staff was always available to help. I found the best flooring options with them for my modern taste. I looked for months at other companies where I had to order samples from catalogs because they didn't have my choices in stock but months later those samples had still not arrived. Not only was my order arrived months before I was expecting it, they even stored it for me until my new construction house was at the stage for flooring installation. They have won me as a forever customer! Thank you for an incredible service and product."
"The owners and staff are incredible! The customer service went above and beyond. We loved the quality of the product and the company made everything as easy possible! 100% recommend!!!"
"We hired Flooring By Design to remove tile/carpet and install LVP and carpet. (Carpet installation was never done due to how the tile/LVP project was handled and how I felt I was treated as a customer). I had approved ONE proposal related to the tile/LVP project. But after the project was completed, the owner sent me TWO invoices related to the tile/LVP project. Since I received two invoices when I expected only one, I took a closer look at the line items and noticed that (after confirming with the installer/subcontractor), the quantity of some of the items on the invoices were in excess of what was actually used on the project. Additionally, I noticed the total square footage I was being charged for was inflated. That inaccurate square footage was used to calculate tile/carpet removal, underlayment installation, and LVP installation, so the miscalculation of square footage was multiplied and increased the invoice totals dramatically. The owner and I went back and forth by email about the invoices and the question of the actual square footage of the project. He adjusted the invoice for most (but not all) of the supply discrepancies, and he adjusted somewhat for the square footage, but the measurements were still incorrect/inflated. We spent quite a bit of time going back and forth about the measurements. In one email discussing the discrepancy in square footage calculations, the owner told me, "Hire someone else to measure if you don't believe me." So I had a third-party flooring company come in and do exact measurements of the project area which I provided to the owner by email. Two days later, I still hadn't received a response from the owner (and he'd already made it pretty clear in his emails he was not going to adjust the invoice regardless of the actual square footage measurements), so I wrote the check and included a 2-page letter outlining (again) why I was sending him the amount I was sending him. I explained that my calculations had allowed for installation of ALL of the LVP and underlayment based on the full square footage of the materials used and not just the installed square footage (which was definitely in his favor). The only charge I adjusted based on the objective square footage of the project area was for the tile/carpet removal and disposal. This resulted in an invoice total that was $375.89 less than the adjusted invoices he had sent me. After receiving that check and letter, the owner sent me this email in which he threatened to sue me if I left a "threatening review" of his company: "I told you I would not read any other letter or response. Wasted letter/response. When you leave the threatening review I will be prepared to copy and paste to that review everything we went through and all the crazy emails you sent. Then every book long email will turn it into a positive thing for our company. Then I will be forced to hire an attorney for a slander suit. It totally makes sense you hired a company based out of California to talk them into adjusting a quote. This is not a threat, this is what will happen should you choose to continue to push. I will also go after restock fees for the carpet quote you agreed to and asked me to order. I know a bit more but it will remain a mystery until it won't. Enjoy your day and when the review goes into effect do not act shocked when the certified letter shows up and we are tangled up again. Have a Joyful Day !" So if you would like to hire Flooring By Design, I just encourage you to review the proposal and invoices very carefully and get everything in writing. And be VERY sure you know what your measurements are so that you know if he is charging you accurately. And also be aware that he may threaten to sue you if you leave a negative review."
"These folks are amazing!! We have always done business w/Flooring America, however the last time we attempted to do business w/them, they totally blew us off. A friend told us about Flooring by Design. From the moment we walked in the door these folks treated us like we were the most important customers on the planet. Ms. Betty was extremely helpful in picking out just the right backsplash. Justin came out in just a few days to measure. He wanted to come sooner, but we were unavailable. Craig and his wife (sorry I didn’t get her name), the owners, were wonderful!! Roberto did an amazing job installing our backsplash. We could not be happier!!! I will definitely use them the next time I need tile or flooring. I will definitely spread the word about this place. If you have flooring needs, this is the place to go!"
"I brought in an old piece of carpet to try to match and Craig went right to work trying to find the closest style and color. We ordered it Monday and had it installed Friday, just in time for us to move in on Saturday. Quick service with excellent attention to detail!!"
