"Chris Rooney Home Experts recommends Cal's Garden Center! It's a great spot to find any of your garden needs, and is a wonderful addition to the local community. Whether you're a gardening enthusiast or just moved to the area, Cal's Garden Center is sure to have something for everyone. The variety of plants, flowers, trees and garden items is impressive, and the quality is top-notch. The plant selection is vast and changes with the season, making it a great place to stock up for year-round gardening. Highly recommended for anyone looking for green to brighten up their home."
"My wife and I had an incredible experience here! The staff is super knowledgeable, friendly and helpful! They also have a huge variety of flowers, shrubs, bushes and trees!"
"This place is super cute. Tons of flowers, plants, and trees to choose from. They have a huge greenhouse on one side and an open area to the other. It's bigger than you think. There's a lot of garden items in the main shop area like planters, solar lights, and nik-naks. All the plants that I've seen are super healthy and nice looking. Obviously try to go early in the session for the best first picks. And then towards the middle of summer, they got a few topical plants on sale."
"It’s been about 5 years since I’ve shopped at Cals. It was just more convenient for me to stop at a large nursery on my way to our cabin in NW Wisconsin. I didn’t have time or energy tonight after work to drive that far and spend extra time dealing with crowds, expensive gas prices and walking through several buildings to find what I need. I remembered the positive experiences I’ve had at Cal’s in the past, so I decided to shop for my annuals there. I was greeted by a friendly employee as I grabbed a cart. Not more than 10 minutes later another employee, bright and cheerful Kay, approached me asking if I needed help finding something. She sincerely was excited to help me! We chatted a bit, she gave suggestions and I found everything I needed on my list! I left feeling so much better than I did when I arrived. Cal’s has a large variety of everything you need, yet isn’t so big that you have to spend a lot of time walking around to find different varieties of plants. Their prices are right in line with other nurseries. I look forward to shopping at Cal’s next spring!"
"Be cautious buying perennials here if you want them to come back next year!!! I bought 4 hostas here last year and planted them next to a 5th hosta purchased at the same time from another local nursery. I was looking for a specific kind and was unable to find all 5 I needed at one location, hence buying them from 2 different nurseries. Of the 4 hostas purchased from Cal's, 3 didn't come back at all this year and 1 is a fraction of the size they should be (circled in orange, the thriving hosta circled in purple is from another local nursery). I called Cal's today and they wouldn't do anything to make it right, saying they only guarantee for "one growing season". I guess I'd like to know why you are selling hostas/perennials that don't come back after one winter.... you should be calling your hostas annuals, not perennials! Very, very disappointing that 1) their hostas didn't come back this year and 2) Cal's doesn't stand behind their products."
