Reviews of Great Wolf Lodge Water Park | Minnesota
"This is a great place and caters to the families. Very sanitary and clean. The staff was great. Parking was in issue since it is very limited. Expected pool times to be earlier/later than what they were. Wolf hollering during non pool hours - irritating. Family had a GREAT time."
"Warning- DO NOT TAKE ANYTHING VALUABLE TO THE WATERPARK!!!!!! Hearing aids stolen from a zipped bag in the water park on day 1 is a terrible way to start our family vacation!! Phone theft the same day as well from another guest. Security was able to see on video the exact time of the theft and assist police in the investigation with video and photos. Management handled this extremely well and made the rest of our stay very enjoyable! Manager called us directly to apologize and offer us compensation. Food and fun add on pass is a great value. Kids enjoyed doing all the fun activities at the lodge! Mobile app is very helpful!"
"If I could give a zero star rating, I would. My family has visited this water park for years throughout my childhood. In the past, we had great experiences. This last Monday, we brought my younger niece for her birthday and the experience we had was just consecutively a series of unsatisfactory events. First, I believe they were running over max occupancy. This is to the point where my niece was almost trampled on by other kids on several occasions. We couldn't exist in the park, without bumping into another person and I mean this literally. Not to mention our surprise when we arrived, and the admission was $110 PER PERSON!! This is a MAJOR price increase from what the desk person, Frank, has told us over phone the sunday before. He told us it was 40$ per admission, and admission was $55 when I visited less than 3 years ago. We drove almost 2 hours to visit great wolf lodge, on the assumption that your employee was transparent and honest about the pricing of admission. The justification for this enormous price increase was "holidays"... What holiday was in on 03/11/2024? & even if so, as a business, you should be honoring the prices you tell your guests- and be transparent about the price increases, so they don't waste their time commuting to your establishment like we did. But we paid it... When we got into the actual park itself, our experiences worsened. The lazy river was shut down (for unspecified reasons) a majority of the time we were there, which is a primary attraction for us- as it is something my niece can partake in being so small. When they did finally start allowing people to use the lazy river, they had 2x the amount of guests as they did inter tubes available. Not to mention, that you couldn't enjoy this, because you were constantly bumping into people. In fact, half the people in the lazy river were forced to walk. Additionally, the restaurant located inside of the water-park was filthy. The restaurant had no physical workers at the front to answer questions. So you (the guest) is charge of entering in your own order, on an unknown system, that isn't very easy to use... To add to this, there is only 1 of these self checkouts- so expect there to be a line. The food isn't included on the 110$ pass either, so, expect to spend another 80$ to eat here. Then, we didn't receive a receipt for our food, which, would have been helpful as our order was incorrect. However, the most disturbing part of our experience was how filthy ALL the pools were in that water park. MN statues say that you need to be able to see the drain at the bottom. This was not the case, and the scum on the bottom/outsides of the pool was so caked on, that it was a major slipping hazard. Very cloudy and brown in all areas, it literally looked like river water. With the ridiculous, eye scalding, amount of chlorine that was present in this pool, one would assume that it wouldn't be as disgusting as it was (especially at 110$ per person). The maintenance and cleanliness at this place has decreased substantially from when I visited 3 years ago. To charge double to price to your guests for such a unkempt environment is unreasonable. Oh- and forget about ventilation in the water park area. There is little to no air flow, as none of the fans on the ceiling were running. I will not be recommending this place to anyone of my friends, family or customers in the future. Between the dishonest prices, and the lack of cleanliness and friendliness of your staff, our trip was a waste of 500 plus dollars and very disappointing 1st experience for my niece on her birthday. She just turned 4 (and yes her admission was also 110$ even though she could not use all the amenities). I hope that she does not remember this as her first experience at the water park in her later life. The best part of our visit was scrubbing ourselves down in the shower when we were leaving."
"It's a fun stay IF you get the all in one pass. Unlimited rock climbing, bowling and ropes course. The arcade is the only down side. There's a big variety in games and a lot of fun but It's expensive. No arcade credit in the all in one pass and there's only 20 credits for the arcade in the paw passes. Most games are 12 to 15 credits so you only get one good game or two young children's games. Most of the staff is great but some (most) of the life guards seem like they are burdened by you. Some (a few) of them were great though. With good food, fast service and a small market there's not much reason to leave the building if you don't want to."
"My family had an absolute blast. Most of the staff were very friendly and helpful. You could tell they were willing to go out of their way to make the stay awesome. We had a crazy amount of family all staying, I think 18 of us all together and they managed to get us a table at the Campfire restaurant that would seat us all. Another employee gave my 3 year old a card to play some extra games at the arcade. They kept the building meticulously clean and made sure all of the games and everything were stocked and running properly. The only complaint I have, and it's a very small one, is that some of the life guards aren't as friendly as the rest of the staff. They'd blow their whistle if they saw you doing something wrong but then they wouldn't always tell you what you needed to stop doing or change. This definitely didn't affect our stay too much and overall we had SO much fun. Already planning our next trip!"
