Marathon Gas

"Maaaaaan! I was almost outta gas. I had a split decision to make... I bet on this gas station. Pumps were on even tho station is closed! HalleluYAH! NAH! My card... declined?! No way! Check my balance... she's loaded just fine. Card is unlocked. Log in to my acct.... come to find out you actually need $175 to get gas here. Jump back in my car after a few cuss words. Make it to the freeway but not off. I'm literally 100ft from the GD exit... sitting on the shoulder pissed and out of gas. I understand how pre auth on gas works. I NEVER have anything close to $175 on this card. I've gotten gas here PLENTY of times and not once have I ever had $175 for a pre auth. So whats up!? Is it fair to exclude those of us who are jus barely getting by in a world where everything has become so damn expensive... yet, per usual, wage increases fail to keep up w/ cost of living index? I can't buy $10 worth of gas late night a pump that's actually selling the gas? Cmon man. It's almost 2024 . You cant program your pumps to take whatever we have as a pre auth like all the other is the city does Lame. Well, guess that means you lost a customer. Good riddance, I'm sure."

"Went to get gas and the pump didn’t accept my card, fair enough. I put a different card in and pumped my gas. Within 30 seconds I got a notification from my first card saying I had been charged $100 from this gas station. Owner tried to tell me this is a “normal” thing to happen and that the charge would be gone the next day. It of course was not and had to dispute with my card company. Sketchy place."

"Pulled in because my tire warning light had come on. Very rude and unhelpful. It’s 10 below so I was sort of worried. Made me feel like he wasn’t interested in my business. I have an older cat. Won’t be back. Used to stop all the time to buy gas."

"I am a contractor who is in the unforrunate position to not have any water and therefore no bathroom on my jobsite. I had to use the bathroom pretty bad. I walked in and bought a $2 soda, i feel like you should purchase something if using someone's facilities, and the old skinny bald guy and a decently overweight fella treated me like an inconvenience that I asked them for the key. Hopefully their mechanical skills outway their manners, but i will never find out. 2 stars because their bathroom was really clean."
