Reviews of Jimmy Lee Recreation Center
"Fantastic community center. I'm so glad they re-opened after recent heartbreak. My (little) kids love the outdoor playground, huge football field, and indoor pool. I love the ample free parking and genuinely caring helpful staff. My 2yr old especially loves the kiddie pool / splash pad. It has slides, fountains, water toys, and a very gradual slope from 0 depth to maybe 2.5 feet at the deepest. It's great for both playing and for practicing swim lessons in warm shallow water. I appreciate that it's relatively inexpensive (free under 3), clean, safe, and easy for parents. There's lots of adult seating all around the outside, and vigilant lifeguards who maintain focus by walking the perimeter continuously, with a very short shift rotation. I've never seen a piece of trash anywhere inside, including the large locker room. It's $1 for a lock, and there are lots of shower rooms plus 2 large family rooms with toilet, shower, and changing table all together. I highly recommend checking it out!"
"Great place. Have many activities and courses for children on the summer. Great river water park with reasonable entrance fee. These pictures took 1.5years ago."
"Fantastic as always! Large gym space and adequate multipurpose rooms make this place great for all size groups. Especially with social distancing. Being attached to the great river water park is an added bonus! Check it out if toy get the chance."
"Great swimming lessons. Would rate it higher, but the family locker rooms are always packed. They expect you to use the little shower closets to change your kids in the family locker room and there are never enough so everyone is just changing out in the open. Yet you can't use the regular locker rooms if you are like me and have two kids of the opposite sex (or a mom with a boy) as no kids, no matter how young, are allowed in opposite sex rooms...and the regular locker rooms are empty!"
"A nice rec center, great employees, great coaches! really nice pool , a bit too much chlorine but better too much than not enough! We never miss the family fun days $2 open swim all day and my daughter plays Basketball here Go team Jimmy Lee!"
