About Us
Midway Peace Park is a vibrant outdoor gathering space located in the Midway neighborhood of Saint Paul, Minnesota. Spanning just over 3 acres, this park is part of the city's long-term vision to create community connections along the Green Line. Acquired by The Trust for Public Land in 2016, the park was funded through private donations and the city's 8-80 Vitality Fund. Partners such as Capitol Region Watershed District and Friends of Midway Peace Park were crucial in the park's development.
Through community engagement and fundraising efforts, the park was designed to reflect the cultural values and desires of the neighborhood. Serving as a destination along the Green Line, Midway Peace Park also provides important stormwater infiltration and storage capabilities. The park was officially named in 2018 and completed in 2021, with a grand opening celebration held in 2020.
Featuring beautiful signs explaining the park's water system in multiple languages, Midway Peace Park is a testament to community collaboration and inclusivity. With athletic facilities, aquatic centers, and various recreational opportunities, the park offers something for everyone. "I want to love this park but I'm dying in the sun right now. It is EXTREMELY inhospitable to caregivers at the park. There is NOWHERE to escape the hot sun. They need shade. There is even a pagoda looking thing that provides zero cover. The playground equipment is very cool even for bigger kids which is why we came here.. there are no swings though fyi. And nothing for very small kids that isn't attached to giant equipment. But more than all this.. I parked my car on a street that makes me feel like I need to watch my car and I'm from Chicago so I'm probably not wrong."

"Amazing park, 6yo and 2yo both had a great time and we got great exercise going up the hill every time they wanted to slide down. The idea of building a slide on a hill is genius. 6yo is normally scared of tall slides but she was fearless on this. The climbing options were insane too. Highly recommend if you want a unique playground to check out."
