"Park has been renovated alot but it's still a basic park with a large field for soccer, football, and whatever else. Basketball courts are basic looking but definitely can get some runs in. Decent picnic area."
"I grew up on Jersey Avenue across the street from Lakeland Park from 1966 until 1978. Played Soccer there for 5 years. My parents moved in there in 1961 and lobbied to have the city create the park instead of filling it in with more homes. They got the whole neighborhood to sign a petition and they succeeded. I'm glad to know people are still enjoying the park."
