"Employees friendly and helpful. I had hit a raccoon and did damage to front and some under hood damage. This was during the auto strike so parts were slow to come. I was able to drive my car in town. When I needed to go out of town M.E. gave me a loaner several times. They kept me informed of parts progress. When parts arrived they promptly did the repair. The work they did looks great, cannot tell there was a problem. I would highly recommend M.E 's Body Shop."

"I am writing in regards to an issue I am having with a local body shop here in Estherville IA. my mother hit a dear with her 2015 Ford Focus I obtained an estimate for repairs from M & E Body shop in Estherville they wrote up an estimate and sent it to my mothers insurance company I then obtained a 2nd estimate from a different body shop in town per their advice if she wanted to have them do the work she wanted done to contact the insurance company and have them send the check in her name to her so she could get the work done somewhere else when the check arrived to my mother's address she deposited the check via electronic deposit through our drive through the bank held the funds to clear 2 days later bank called and told my mother the check had been made out to her and to M & E Body shop so we contacted IMT insurance who had wrote the check to inform them of the situation the adjuster informed my mother she would cancel that check and issue a new check with her name on it several days later the money arrived into my mother's account now M & E has been sending threatening letters and an outrageous amount for the work they did was around 100 dollars he is demanding 800 dollars or will press forgery charges against my mother (extortion) I contacted M & E Body shop and asked them for a detailed bill for installing the driver side mirror and a copy of the receipts for the parts he ordered he told me it was none of our business what he paid for the parts unless I give him a copy of the check he would not give me anything to add salt to injury few months later my mother's car was totalled in a accident at which time IMT Insurance informed her that they would pay for the vehicle minus what was paid/owed on repairs for the Deer incident on a personal noted my mother is 87 years old and has had heart problems for several years now she had a heart attack on Thursday 1/05 yesterday she received a call from her insurance (lakes Insurance) that M & E is going to file charges against my mother unless she pays the body shop Nobody signed anything with the body shop name and because they didn't receive the nearly 7000 dollar check they want to come after her with an outrageous bill for installing a mirror that wasn't even painted and no idea where they even got the mirror from..."
