"The best store to do shopping I used to shop in many different places but I found this place cheap than other places"

"At the end of a shopping run at the Columbia Heights Aldi store on 2/5, at 3pm central time, a dark-haired female employee in the frozen food area demanded that I immediately relinquish my shopping cart, saying it was reserved for employees, despite no such indicator on the cart. 1. She could have used another cart, but did not. 2. She could have offered me another cart to move my items to, but did not. 3. She could have, and should have, never approached me at all, but she couldn’t control herself. Trying to avoid conflict, and willing to accommodate her irrational demand while enduring her jarring rudeness, I asked her what I should do with the 15 items in my cart. The employee offered no answer to my question, or solution; indeed, she didn’t even care about me. Then, a store security guard approached the two of us. Instead of attempting to deescalate the conflict and, most important, calm the belligerent employee – which is his job – he reflexively defended her indefensible behavior. Then, amazingly, the lady doubled down on her diatribe, and actually threatened to remove me from the store. And she wasn’t done. Another good-hearted customer, who observed the employee's deplorable conduct and shared my interest in human decency and respect, confronted her, saying that she had decades of customer service experience and was shocked at what she was seeing. The dark-haired female Aldi employee then threatened to remove HER from the store, after she had already directed the same baseless and absurd threat at me."

"This store is nearly always tidy & well-stocked--and if it's not, there are employees in the aisles making it so. The produce is fresh, the prices are great. Knocking off one star because I'm not a fan of the self-checkouts. Yes, I know there's *a* cashier available, but that doesn't change my opinion. It won't stop me from shopping there--but it does diminish the experience for me personally."

"I love Aldi in general, this location has been super convenient for me, and the one time that I had a question at checkout, it was taken care of immediately. While the self-checkout system may throw some less tech-savvy people off, I actually prefer it over cashiers, as it lowers the wait time significantly and is way less anxiety-inducing than the "old system" for me (there are less people watching you and less pressure to do everything at the speed of light so as to avoid inconveniencing other customers)."

"This Aldi is on point; great selection of produce, surprising deals on home goods and a decent selection of Gluten Free options. They even have a steady and rotating selection of reasonably price and adorable flowers that are a nice touch. This location's staff have always been pleasant and respectful."
