"I got a surprise $250 charge after my stay. When I called to ask about it, I was told it was for smoking in the room…I’m not a smoker and neither are my 12 and 9 yr old. We were literally there to just sleep after visiting their grandparents. I was told only the manager can handle that. I’ve called back 3 times now, have been calm and cordial, and each time I’m told the manager is unavailable and will call me back. It’s been well over a month now. My overall stay was good until this, so it’s disappointing. Very unprofessional on the part of the manager."

"How to get a fargo for work this is the only decent rooms. Gentlemen, at the front desk that 1 o'clock in the morning was a great. Got me a end to my room best friendly. It was also honey and season. Then bother me birthday breakfast was decent. Staff in the morning was great If i'm ever in the area again I would go back and stay"

"No hot water if you want to shower around 5:30am... complained to the front desk but he said "sorry, but there's nothing he could do". Then we noticed there was hot water by 6:30am. Room was clean and the bed was comfortable though."

"Not a bad place to sleep. Breakfast was not good though, i ended up eating cereal. The staff we had checking in was rude and standoffish. I work at a hotel full time so I know what is to be expected of the front desk job. The morning desk person was sweet though!"

"I work on the road quit a bit. I’ve had some good experiences and like many people some bad ones. But you WILL NOT have a bad experience at this location. I stayed a total of 3 weeks while working in the area. The staff are top notch and super pleasant. From my first call with Jody I knew this would be a great stay. Her phone presence was kind and sounded like the hospitality industry suited her. She really went all out to make sure my stay was not interrupted when a large event happened. I would’ve had to leave a couple days since my reservation didn’t cover the weekend of the event and they were sold out. She was able to rework some reservations(gladly those folks got just what they needed as well) and I was able to continue without having to stay in Fargo a couple days and then move back in. Lilly was just so pleasant as well. She was real fun in the bar area for us dudes after working 12-15 hour days. Finally the manager, Beth, is just wonderful. She is so patient and kind. She really looks for the best in her guest and her own staff. She runs the hotel with grace and dignity. I watched a guest come unhinged about something truly not the staff’s fault but the guest’s. She was patient and truly professional in dealing with such an unreasonable guest. Beth really unites her staff to the benefit of the guest, too. I know that the other techs that stayed here have the same feeling about Beth and the rest of the staff. When it came time to go home to Nashville the only thing I regretted was how I would miss the staff at this hotel. Unfortunately, Hawley Minnesota isn’t a place I expect to work in again but it would be fun to visit even if just to come hang out with Beth, Jody and Lily. Ya’ll take care!!!!"
