"MN Tile is my one-stop shop for all of my pro tiling needs. The wide selection of quality materials are 2nd to none. The prices are competetive and the customer service is warm, inviting and professional. Whether you're a pro, DIYer or homeowner searching for inspiration, go to MN Tile first!"
"Went in to the Plymouth location and the sales lady wasn't sure about how to answer our questions so she referred us to Chris in the warehouse area. He was very helpful and able to answer our questions. He was great with customer service and we would highly recommend him. The lady we called on the phone for questions almost lost our business as she was not willing to work with us on price matching because we were not regular customers. As a DIY person doing one project at a time it's hard to be a regular. But they had the products we wanted that day so we made the trip. Thanks to Chris we will be returning."
"I got 5 different quotes from different places in the cities. MN Tile and Stone was not the lowest bid, but since they had very few substantive poor reviews, and had professional looking stores, I decided to go with them. I put down half the cost of the bid based on the square footage provided in my drawings. A guy comes out to do the field measure, is prompt and professional, said everything looks level and advised me that I needed a couple extra support 2x4s around the space where my corner sink will go (which I have installed shortly thereafter). I have no complaints about him, did a great job. The next day, I get an email stating that the field measure came out at almost 50% more square footage than I was quoted for (no mention on what this would do to the cost). I double checked and the square footage of my drawings matches exactly the square footage of the field measure. I ask what this change request does to the cost and why it was so much more when it matched the square footage in my drawings? I get a reply that it would increase the cost I was quoted by almost 30% and they messed up the calculation of the square footage in their estimate. I go back and double check my quote, and they did not put any square footage in the quote, it just had a single line item for "Kitchen" and the price. Pretty big mistake. I reply that this feels like a bait and switch and I'm not happy about this and that I want them to honor the price they quoted me. I'm told they will have a manager contact me the next day to work something out (which happens to fall on a Friday before the long New Years weekend). I wait all day with no reply. When there is about an hour and 15 mins before they close, I send an email saying that if this isn't resolved today, I'm calling my credit card company and reversing the charge and taking my business elsewhere despite meaning I will be stuck without a working kitchen for an extra week. I finally get a call back. The gentleman acknowledges that they made a mistake calculating the square footage in the estimate and offers to "split the difference" (like somehow half of this was my fault?) between the original quote and the extra amount. We settle on a price which is slightly lower than half the difference. It was not ideal, but I decided to eat the extra cost to not have to start the process over with another company which would leave me doing dishes in the bathtub for an extra week. Had everything gone smoothly after that, I would not have left a review. However, that was not the case. I get a call a few weeks later from the project coordinator who gives me an install date and an arrival time of 11AM-1PM. Install day arrives and I get a call around 12:30PM saying that they had a problem with the previous install and would be to my place between 1:30-2:30PM. 3:15PM arrives with no install team, and no call. I call and leave a msg. on the project coordinator's voice mail asking what is going on. I get a call back saying they are just finishing up and will be to my place by 4:30PM. They finally show up at 4:30PM (3.5 hours later than the install time I was first given). They install the countertop, and it looks fine at first glance. I sign off and they leave. I go to install my sink, and while I'm under the counter, I notice that they had to shim one corner to level the counter, which lifted the counter top off the support beams slightly, BUT they did not place shims anywhere else, which basically left my counter top supported only on the edges with some spans of close to 40 inches. I'm pretty sure if I had put something heavy on that counter top in the middle, or god forbid someone stood on it, it would have cracked in two. Fed up, I went and bought shims myself and shimmed it properly so that it was properly supported. So make sure they put all the square footage listed out specifically in the bid, double check their math yourself, and check under the counter to make sure it is properly shimmed and supported, since based on my experience, you can't trust them to take care of these things on their own."
"From the first visit, to the countless ones after, every experience with MTS has been an outstanding one. Their employees go out of their way to help you find what you need. Every time I come in, I am always greeted and helped without having to track someone down like at many other locations. They offer a wide variety of great products and are a great source for both customers looking for tile and design help, and contractors purchasing anything for their tiling needs."
"They are the leading distributor in our area. What sets them apart from all the others? Dedication to education and training. Providing installation company's the resources we need to stay educated about the products they carry and supply us with. Providing training for their staff too be knowable when working with customers. They provide a environment where you can feel comfortable working together as a team."
