"Sweet as honey and warm as the sun! True Grit Coffee Grounds is the place to be in Paris, Arkansas! My fiancé and I came here upon the recommendation from the host of the Air BnB we were staying at and absolutely loved it! True Grit is cozy, peaceful and lovely! We went there over the course of 3 days and couldn't get enough of it! I ordered the Breakfast burrito (recommend it with bacon and chives) and my fiancé ordered a tea. The owners got to hear our story and were so intentional with getting to know us! Don and her family are tremendously hospitable and kind! We tried to go there on a Sunday before leaving back to Dallas (not knowing they were closed) and they let us come in and made us a breakfast burrito and a coffee for the road! They live out their faith in Jesus well and put His love on display for all visitors and guests! Everyone who's in or around Paris, AR needs to come and check it out. You can spend the whole day here or just a few minutes and leave with more joy than when you came in! I was truly honored to have come here and will make it an effort to come back whenever I'm in Arkansas! My fiancé also had some thoughts to share: "True Grit is a hidden gem in Paris, Arkansas! We visited multiple times on our weekend in town and were always greeted with the most kind-hearted staff. They have awesome tea and coffee selections along with so many options to satisfy your sweet tooth! I will always recommend this coffee shop to anyone I know passing through this town. They were so kind and patient with us as we browsed the menu and when we visited on a Sunday! To our surprise they were closed that day and we were bummed we couldn’t go in. But the staff happened to be taking care of the shop inside and allowed us in for food and coffee! They totally didn’t have to but they welcomed us with open arms for one last visit before we headed home! We’ll never forget the sweet family who owns this shop and their kindness.""
"Stopped in Paris at True Grit to have a birthday coffee and breakfast before a morning hike at Mount Magazine and to call brother in France. Our good coffee and food was delivered with a solo performance of "Happy Birthday" by a beautiful voice, the Barista's!! Serendipity--Later in the day we happened to see John Wayne's FIRST western."
"This part of Arkansas has ties to the movie True Grit. It is based on a novel written by an Arkansan. The setting is in Arkansas, not too far from Paris, and a famous Arkansan starred in it. While you are setting their sipping your coffee, see if you can figure all that out. The title and the association of the movie to the area, makes a catchy name for the coffee shop. The coffee is outstanding. The service is small town Arkansas friendly. It is an attractive, relaxing environment to waste a morning in and enjoy some of the best coffee you will ever have. My wife is an expert and coffee epicurean (aka Coffee Snob.) She rated her coffee drink this morning as “better than I can make at home.” That means it is damn good. Me, no coffee expert, but I enjoyed my cup too. She went with an iced hazel nut latte. It was perfectly balanced. The coffee was not overwhelmed by the hazel nut flavoring, nor too sweet. I had already had two cups of coffee this morning. I didn’t need more caffeine. I ordered a decaf mocha with a twist. I asked for non-fat milk and no whipped cream. The young lady asked if I would like to try it with unsweetened dark chocolate. It was amazing. It is now my new coffee drink. FYI – I hated the movie. "Visited Paris, Arkansas yesterday to get out and about. Dropped in at the fairgrounds for a craft fair, then a few shops downtown, and after that... coffee! I have seen a few folks post about @truegritgrounds but had not been until yesterday. Their shop is right on the square in downtown Paris and is comfy and cute. The staff were friendly and efficient. The kiddos got mochas and I had an Americano - we played some trivia while we sipped on our drinks. Downtown Paris is a hidden gem!"
