"Attended a poetry and prose reading by Dr. Christian Gerard, Professor of English at the University of Arkansas at Fort Smith, who read lines from his recent poems in which he reflects on how his father’s love of the transformative nature of building and repairing hot rods with his father during during his youth in the ‘70’s and 80’s. This compilation of poems reveal a uniquely intimate father-son relationship that was grounded in the love for one another that is reiterated in the camaraderie developed among members of local, state and national auto-enthusiast groups from which Gerard reflects on the powerful creative force of sharing one’s passion for auto mechanics that transcends generational barriers. The UAFS Windgate Center offers a comfortable environment with excellent audio-visual, and lighting equipment. Thoroughly enjoyable experience!"
"Absolutely gorgeous, high tech facility for learning, viewing, and experiencing art and design. International exhibitions flow seamlessly into UAFS student galleries and artist studios and laboratories. A personal favorite is the printing and book arts studio which is world class and one of a kind. The computer labs for graphic designers have cutting edge Mac computers fully loaded with Adobe programs, and the painting, drawing and printmaking labs are fully stocked with art supplies, tables, easels, lights, and cleaning supplies."
"Just another college building, but it's clean and the personnel, along with the students are very courteous and professional. I loved my college life!! So many things to do and so little time to do them, but I enjoyed every moment!!"
