"Beware before signing up for a contract with Blaine Massage Envy. First of all, the employees can’t cancel your membership, a manager has to cancel (even if it has been one year), so when you call to cancel, they tell you a manager will call you back within 72 hours — I’m on my third attempt and no one has contacted me… if you were trying to cancel your membership with the Blaine, Massage Envy location, I would highly suggest sending a registered letter where you get a receipt. Second of all, when I signed up a year ago, they told me that they would have facials available, but they didn’t hire someone that could do them for about six months. Third, i’ve never been able to make an appointment for medium or firm massage within a 2 to 3 month period. Then they usually they say they don’t have schedules that far in advance, just that they are full - i’ve been available weekday mornings, weekday afternoons, weekends, late evening, I’ve been available at all times, and they never have anything, I end up going to Vadnais Heights instead. Suggestion to Vadnais Heights, your main location, not this Blaine, they operate professionally. I’ve gone weeks at a time where I’ve called at all hours of the day, and have not gotten a hold of anyone. The Blaine location definitely added to my stress this past year…ironic."

"My wife made an appointment for a massage 2 weeks in advance - 2 hours before the scheduled appointment Massage Envy called and canceled. They offered no compensation for the inconvenience and told her their weekends were completely booked thru February of next year! My wife had taken the day off for this massage. I understand that things come up (illness/emergencies) however, had my wife canceled 2 hours prior to the appointment she would have been charged for the “late notice”."

"It's impossible to get a same day appointment, which is really the business model I need for massages because I can not schedule out a week or two when my body is in pain. Therefore, I end up paying for the subscription (I have 16 credits, and my husband has 18), then going to a walk-in massage parlor when I need a massage."
