"The kennels were clean and well kept. Daniel’s wife is super nice and helpful. However, we were very disappointed in the level of communication with Daniel, or lack thereof, during our dog’s board and train time. We were not informed prior to our arrival that Daniel likes to have dogs brought in on Thursday and stay the weekend to get acclimated before training. We had agreed via text message a month and a half prior to arrival on the date our dog would be arriving and beginning her training. After we arrived on Monday, we were told training wouldn’t begin until the following Monday. We had already made plans and we’re unable to change them. Unfortunately, this made our dog need to stay an extra week with Daniel. His wife was the person who checked us in and didn’t tell us this information. Daniel told us later he wanted her to stay five weeks for training rather than the four. He said she was doing great but needed a little work on her “aggression toward men”. During intake, Daniel’s wife asked if we would like to have videos and pictures throughout the training. She told us they would be giving us regular updates on her training progress as well. We did not receive any pictures or videos during the stay from September 18th to October 11th. Daniel did not call when he said he would and was difficult to communicate with. When we told him we were pulling Zoey out early, he became very defensive and rude. He refused to let us pick up Zoey during his advertised hours posted on his website and told us pick up time would be 6 PM sharp. When I tried to discuss the lack of communication, he said we should have “bugged” him about it and called him. (We did.) Needless to say, we won’t be utilizing his services, nor will the other couple that recommended him to us. My advice…get everything in writing. Don’t pay cash. Get receipts. Get a copy of contracts on the spot. Keep expectations realistic. Please remember this man has a family he needs to spend time with, a job that he needs to go to during the day, and numerous dogs he needs to tend to each night. Visit the kennel and with Daniel in person to make sure it is a good fit for all parties."
"I agreed to have Redline Kennels and Dog Trainer keep my goldendoodle Duke for 5 weeks to train him. The owner agreed to brush his ears daily to prevent matting and said for more brushing or grooming he’d charge me extra or I’d need to go somewhere else. We agreed just a couple times daily through his ears would be sufficient. I got him back and he stank like crazy. Turns out it wasn’t bad baths it was the nasty goop coming from the sores under his matted ears. I take him to the vet and they had to completely shave all of him and he’s in a cone now till it heals. Now the owner is saying I signed a waiver against injury or illness to Duke. While true I signed a waiver nowhere in that waiver did it give Redline Kennels the right to mistreat and neglect my dog. The owner is refusing to help with the vet bill and saying it’s not his fault because he is a trainer and not a groomer. My question is how can you train dogs and board dogs for 5 weeks if you aren’t willing to do the minimum maintanence for the dog? I also dropped off a 57lb goldendoodle and now today at the vet he was 45lbs and the vet said he’s too skinny and underweight because he was only fed two cups of food once a day for five weeks. Edit to respond: you still have my brush for my dog. Why would you have my brush for my dog if you didn’t agree to brush him? The vet clearly told me he was too skinny and needed to gain weight. Yes the training is there. I never said it wasn’t."
"We have been using Daniel for a year now. I honestly can't see leaving my dog with anyone else!! Daniel runs a tight ship!! We would definitely recommend him for your boarding otmr training needs!!"
"What a wonderful find and at the last minute! Daniel got us a spot for our Doberman after she was having such anxiety in a small hotel. He gave her a bunch of attention and sent us updates everyday. She was clean when we picked her up. Would highly recommend!!"
"I needed to board my 90lb dog for 4 days. I drove 2.5 hours to drop him off. I knew he would be safe and treated right while under their care so I didn't mind the drive. The stay was great and my baby did fine without me. Very dependable, honest and upfront about things. Will not board with anyone else! 5☆☆☆☆☆"
