"Finished my shoes (two sets) within a week. Fixed the bottom rubber bits on one set and the inside soles on another. Very polite. The price was unexpected (in a good way). What would have been at least $80 to replace became less than half that to repair."
"WARNING! Clardy's customer service and workmanship are both TERRIBLE! Even though they are the only cobbler in Fayetteville, FIND SOMEWHERE ELSE TO GO! They have ruined multiple items of mine - both purses and shoes. Here is my latest saga (and after this I will NEVER GO BACK). I dropped off a purse to have the straps replaced due to the leather edging having worn off, making the original straps sharp along the edges. I was told it would be ready in 2 weeks. After a month I called several times, and finally someone answered - but couldn't find my purse (I was on hold 30 minutes). Three weeks later I stopped by during their business hours, but they were closed without notice. After more weeks of trying to call I finally got in touch with someone and they said the purse was ready. But when I went to pick it up, it hadn't even been touched. The original, ragged straps were there just like before. My purse had now been there for over two months, with no work done on it. After more than another month I called and they told me that this time the purse was actually ready. When I picked it up, the brads holding the new straps to the body of the purse hadn't even been secured, so the guy had to fix that (the strap fell off when he picked it up off the shelf). And the straps they used as replacement were nothing but raw leather - no edging, and no backing. THEY ARE WORSE THAN THE ORIGINAL BROKEN STRAPS!!! The raw edging is razor sharp and snags absolutely everything. I can't place the purse on my shoulder or my elbow or it will now completely ruin my clothes. The straps shredded the jacket I was wearing and snagged my sweater multiple times. Not only that, but I asked for a discount since it took them so long (almost 4 months) to do what they said would take 2 weeks, and because it was such a hassle (coming to pick it up because they said it was ready when they hadn't even worked on it). They agreed to give a discount - so they first ALMOST DOUBLED THE PRICE and then took $10 off. The price was supposed to be $25, so after I asked for a discount they changed the price to $45 and took off $10, making it $35. This felt like I was being lied and swindled. They either completely do not care about quality and workmanship, or they just completely don't know what they are doing as cobblers. The previous owner, who I hear ran an excellent business, must be so embarrassed and ashamed. But please heed my advice, take your broken heeled shoes and worn strapped purse and run... run as far away from Clardy's as you can."

"Was so happy to find this small Olde time boot shoppe. They repaired my leather boots quickly. I had to take them up on their guarantee of repair but had no problems (and no additional costs). Great atmosphere. Highly recommend!!"
"In April 2023 I brought a pair of boots in for Heel/Sole replacement, I was quoted $60 and told it would take a couple of weeks to get them completed. In August I called to check on them, after being on hold for what seemed like 10 minutes or so(I figured they lost my boots), I was told they would be finished Ina few days. October 13th I called again. Asking about them and was told they would be done today October 16th. I was quoted $60, charged $70 and told they discounted them $15 because of the wait. Nice discount! Their attitude was that they were doing me a favor."
