Thigpen's Hideaway is a charming lodging and RV park located at 1913 Central Road in Lockesburg, Arkansas. Situated just 1 mile from the Pond Creek Wildlife/Hunting Refuge, our location is ideal for outdoor enthusiasts looking for a peaceful retreat.
Our property features two cozy cabins, named "Rivers Edge," "Cozy Den," and "Twin Oaks," each equipped with modern amenities such as satellite TV, plumbing, heating/AC, and a fully stocked kitchen. The cabins can comfortably accommodate up to five guests, with a queen bed, full-size sofa bed, and twin beds in the loft. Guests also have access to a washer and dryer, as well as complimentary ice.
Outside each cabin, you'll find a private outdoor sitting area with a picnic table, grill, and fire pit, offering stunning views of the Cossatot River. Guests can swim and fish in the river, or simply relax on the front porch and enjoy the tranquil sound of flowing water.
For RV enthusiasts, we offer full hook-up sites with electric, water, sewage, and amenities for picnicking and grilling. Campers have access to a separate location on the river for recreation.
Our rates for a one-night stay are as follows: Rivers Edge $120, Cozy Den $120, Twin Oaks $130. "Oh my goodness, we were so pleasantly surprised! We were traveling through to pick up a puppy near by and found this place to stay. For the price I guess I expected something kinda rough but this place is built beautifully! Very clean and well decorated . The river was beautiful and peaceful. So quiet here! And the owner is an absolute doll! There is an ice machine as well. It had a coffee maker so that made me happy!! Haha! Has a playground which my 11 year old enjoyed. Thanks for the great stay!"
"We stayed here memorial weekend alongside my sister and her family in the cabin next to us. We all had an absolute blast! It reminded me of going camping as a kid up in the mountains. My kids had so much fun and we've decided we're going to make this an annual trip for sure!"
"If you are ever in this area and looking for a quiet place to spend a few nights, this is definitely a place to stay! We live a couple of miles away but due to a plumbing issue we rented a cabin to take a shower. My husband and I fell in love with this hidden gem and actually plan to spend a couple of nights here as a getaway close to home. The cabin we used was named The Cozy Den. The porch overlooks the river and there's a fire pit with a picnic table on the river bank. When you walk inside, the layout of the cabin is very welcoming and the decor definitely gives a "Cozy Den" feel. The peace and quiet of nature made me want to stay the night but unfortunately our pups were home alone so we couldn't. The property has 4 cabins and several RV hookups. Would be a great place for family reunions or gatherings. The owner is extremely nice and attentive to his guests and has done a great job creating an escape from every day life to the serenity of nature!"
