Gent Cuts and Grooming

"I recently got wedding photos and was reminded of my fateful appointment here. I wi preface this by saying I am a faithful gents customer for their edina location and don't plan to stop going there. I went here in the Fall before a wedding since the Edina location had no good times with my busy work schedule the week before the wedding. The gentleman cutting my hair asked me what I wanted. I have short curly hair and told him "I hate the broccoli cut please don't cut the sides so short they don't curl, which is under 3 inches but don't go under 4.5." I even show him a photo. This lunatic hits me with the "say no more fam" before diabolical giving me the most tik tokker broccoli cut that has ever existed. He cut my sides down to less than an inch. Which according to my calculations is slightly off from the 4 1/2 inches I requested he not go under. Also, this guy did not want to talk and turned me away from the mirror for the whole cut. Do yourselves a favor and make the drive to the Edina location. Everyone there is lovely and actual will give you a good cut."

"It is a very nice place with a great atmosphere, the barbers are all outstanding and personable, which you do not always get at your barber. Yes, it's expensive but the experience will be much better than you get at a cheaper barber and the barbers here remember you, even after one visit! As they say, you wanna look good, you gotta spend the money to do so."

"I did not get a chance to write a review when the incident happened. I had made an appointment for my son to have a haircut prior to 1st Communion, the first appointment I got a call asking if the appointment could be moved, I accepted and the day of the 2nd appointment I get a call saying they need to cancel, I explained my son's Comunion was the next day and asked if they could place him with a different barber, I got a no we are booked, not a single apology or a care in the world of the position they placed us in. They could have offered to fit him in or a different Gent salon. Not because my son is a child is less important than an adult client He was a regular too with Fitzgerald. Very poorly handled and poor customer service, will not recomend if you have an important event coming up. Not reliable"

"75 year old Navy Veteran with ptsd. I was visiting with my daughter and grandkids a couple of years ago and offhandedly mentioned that I could stand to get a haircut and beard trim (I had been letting everything go to heck for a long time.) The next thing I knew I had an appointment the next day. My stylist was JENNY. She knew exactly what I wanted and seemingly understood that getting something as simple as a new hairstyle could be a “trigger” for my anxiety. I felt like a new person when all was finished. Now I live an exact 4 hour drive, one way, north of Eden Prairie, so I look forward to making an appointment with JENNY at Gents in Eden Prairie. Understand that my visits could be as far apart as two or three months and is virtually starting over every visit. JENNY is a professional, mature, stylist that has become my friend and advisor when it comes to MY BEARD. I always look forward to our brief visits and feel amazing when finished. BTW JENNY has me looking a bit like Santa Clause. . . I think she is doing it on purpose. I enjoy the occasional interaction with the youngsters. I have even had occasions of quieting a little temper tantrum with a simple look at them over my half-glasses. Thank you JENNY."

"I received an unfortunate haircut about one month ago. I made an appointment about two weeks later to give the barber a chance to correct some issues. He basically shaved off the sides of my hair and the result was a bad faux mo. He was defensive about the errors he made even though I could pull locks of hair that were chopped and not blended and made no cohesive style. I then was charged at the front desk for a “trim” which I refused to pay. Terrible haircut terrible customer service."
