"My wife is a cancer patient in gynecological oncology. She has a stint in her ureter & is in need of surgery to remove her cancer. We have tried to reach Dr. Machado countless times with no luck. Dr. Burnett, her oncologist, has tried to reach Dr. Machado & his office but to know avail. My wife cannot work or even leave home because of her bladder issues. Our experience with uams has been great, other than her time with the urology clinic. We will definitely go a different route in the future. We highly recommend uams but recommend anyone with bladder issues go a different route"
"I switched to Dr. Coussens at Arkansas Urology and am SO happy that I did! I had been a patient at UAMS Urology since 2016. Here are my complaints: In that 5-year period, I’ve been through 4+ different doctors because there is so much turnover. The bathrooms are terribly dirty. They once sent me into a bathroom with spilled blood for a urine culture. There is usually urine and debris all over the floor. I showed up in January for my last appointment (booked almost a year in advance). They seemed confused and stated that doctors are not in clinic on Wednesdays. Apparently, someone had put a note in my chart back in October to reschedule my appointment, but the scheduling office was never called. The earliest they could get me in for another appointment was May. I switched practices and was seen within a month."
