"If you call you absolutely cannot specify why you want an appointment. Two different times I called for an appointment and they "invited me" to go to the ER because "unfortunately" they can't see me if (insert any specific medical maladies here). I needed a referral to a cardiologist, who will not take an appointment without a referral, and but the folks at UAMS won't let me make an appointment for said referral. I tried to make an appointment online and the person in the chat just talked in circles until I gave up and called, at which point they refused to let me schedule an appointment. So basically you can't get an appointment here unless it's asocial call or a yearly physical. How else am I supposed to get medical care if my doctor won't see me????"
"I LOVE this clinic and my doctor Collette M. Tilly! She is the best doctor and always makes sure that my concerns are heard. She has helped me to lose weight and manage my diabetes while still being super positive! Most doctors are quick to write you off but Mrs.Tilly has been very helpful and shows concern for me at every visit. 10/10, highly recommended! :)"
"Went to establish a new primary care provider. Had a positive experience with time efficiency and quick check out! Had to get labs done, and the nurse was extremely accommodating and kind because I get a little nervous with blood draws! I didn’t feel a thing! It was great!"
"I have had a couple of experiences with Dr. Smith that have made me incredibly uncomfortable and I feel like there is no way we can have a healthy Dr./patient relationship anymore. The first instance is when he sent me to uams ER because he thought I needed a blood transfusion.(After only speaking to me for 3 minutes without even looking at me) I went to the ER absolutely terrified only to be told that I was fine and that they don't know what he was thinking, but I'm perfectly healthy. Then yesterday. This one has made me so angry I haven't been able to stop thinking about it. I have a bmi of 44.1 and have been having a really hard time with dieting, so after a lot of research online I decided to ask him about diet pills. He told me that he absolutely does not prescribe diet pills. I accepted but said I'd like to get a second opinion. The few minutes he actually spoke to me I just wanted to know more about why they were bad so i could decide if I actually wanted the second opinion or not. I wasn't still asking him to prescribe them, but he kept interrupting me saying things like "I'm NOT going to debate this with you" "seriously, stop asking for diet pills!" He didn't even bother to let me finish my question or answer them when I explained that I wasn't still trying to get him to prescribe them, but I was just trying to understand why they are the bad option. Especially when he mentioned surgery and stuff. It was all I could do to not cry. It was incredibly rude and disheartening when I was just asking for information. The fact that he treated me like a med seeker just for asking about diet pills when my bmi is so high And I've been having so much trouble let's me know he chooses to not trust me and I can't trust someone with my life and health that won't trust me. So I feel like the doctor/patient relationship is irreparable and I'll be finding a new one immediately. Any future patients should be incredibly careful when asking him about medication that's not his idea, because you may have the same response I got."
