"I would like to say how appreciated I am for how well hospice was when my dad was dying. He lived in Hatfield and known by many people for helping others. Anyway, I don’t know how many times I would call hospice day and night during his last week of life. Someone would always answered and help me. My dad was in so much pain because the tumor was so large that it was breaking ribs as it grew more. My day meant so much to me, and he was my hero and my friend. So I did not want him in pain and suffering but I was scared that I may do something wrong. Hospice always walked me through whatever I needed to do to care for him. They came there often to check on him but still gave us the privacy we needed with him. If he needed an equipment, I was so shock because often it would show up that day. He lacked nothing that was needed. He had the best two nurses coming there. One of them learned real fast as she asked questions that my dad loved to joked. He would think he got her good but she was fast with a witty remark back and he would and laugh. The other nurse was as sweet as one can be. She actually came at 12 at night when we thought he was dying. She helped in every way she could but he surprised us and gave us one more day. I want to thank Hospice of Mena, AR from the top that made sure everything my dad needed was provided. And I want to thank the two nurses for guiding us and being there for my dad. He deserved the best and got that when hospice took over."

"I lost my mother 2 mths ago and the nurses were rude and didn't try to help. I was going to find different hospice care and the Director called and said things would be better. It didn't get better. The day my Mother passed I made the call to them To be informed that she could lay there for days like that, no one wanted to go help with her. I lost her that day. It was the worse experience you could ever have loosing your loved one."

"To the Family at Ouachita Regional Hospice in Mena, Arkansas: My wife and I just wanted to take a moment to share our sincere gratitude and thankfulness to the entire staff at Ouachita Regional Hospice. They say it “takes a village to raise a child”. We feel that it also takes a village to provide care and assistance to the folks at the end of their lives, too. And Ouachita Regional Hospice worked collectively on all shifts to make that village a possibility. Although several members of your organization stand out, it would just be unfeasible for us to acknowledge everyone since there were so many that demonstrated love and compassion. We are forever grateful that you helped our Uncle have a peaceful transition. We feel that you treated him (and us) as if we were one of your family members.
