"JMS Has it's highs and lows, But still needs a lot of work to do. and it wouldn't hurt the parents to be more helpful. After all, what children learn, comes from parents and teachers. I'm talking about what comes out of the children mouth. It really makes them look ugly. Their not only disrespectful to others, but disrespectful to themselves.and most of it comes from the home. The Bullying, Name calling, and the filthy language from a little kid that doesn't even know what the word means! Are you kidding me ? Parents! Maybe the school needs to start new classes like, Anger management, or respect for yourself and others. It's time for a change and a new challenge."
"My kids go to this school it is so funny they have field day and parties and bunch of fun stuff to do"
"I have experienced bullying from both adults and students at this school. I am a student that goes to Jacksonville Middle School and I feel that some Teachers and Administrators do not care about these students at all! The kids who bullys others get away with what they do but they students that do right get the wrong punishment as in like catching a felony I am a straight A student and care alot about my education but this school has put me through alot . ( bullying , fights , agurments , grudges held against me , stereotyping , and just everything a educated student shouldn't go through )"
"The kids there have no respect for anyone. There are constant fights. My child can't even learn because they spend the whole class writing referrals before they can get started. She is constantly being bullied. She loves her teachers though. They love her and wish they had more kids like her. It's sad when you have teachers who tell you that they feel sorry that your child has to endure this bull crap on a daily basis. This is definitely a parenting problem. The school can't take blame for trying to take care of hundreds of out of control kids who lack discipline at home! JMO"
"My son HATES this school. We relocated to Sherwood from Maumelle, but Sylvan Hills was full so we were sent to Jacksonville Middle School. In my opinion, this is the WORST school any of my children has ever attended. Walking in the door seeing the children reminds you of a scene off of the movie "Lean On Me." Rude, disrespectful children who clearly are being raised in a household with PISS POOR PARENTING !! My child was bullied and harrassed on his first day and reported to the principal. He asked if he could call me and the principal stated that "it would only make it(bullying) worse," and advised him to sit in his office until the next class period. If that is the way they handle things like this, then this school is DEFINATELY NOT for my child. I'll drive across town before he stays here."
