"3 months after the lost of my precious Gianna Annamarie Gasparotto. This still breaks my heart but I choose to keep sharing her story and the autrocities of the broken system. I share with my art because sometimes it is easier to tell it that way."
"I switched to Mercy from Baptist at the end of my second trimester and I would give Mercy and Dr. Wilson a 10 star review if I could. Such a considerate and compassionate doctor, I highly recommend him to anyone on their first child. Very knowledgeable. The receptionists in the clinic are also kind. The only downside here is parking but they do have a shuttle bus for if you park too far to comfortably walk! The service I have received has been beyond amazing. Instead of seeing 5 different midwives and Doctors it’s just been him and his clinical assistant both are great!"
"I have been trying to book an appointment for over 3 MONTHS and the OB/GYN department will not call me back. My doctor sent a referral in October 2023 to ANY doctor at Mercy OB/GYN to see me regarding an 8cm mass in my uterus. I have called multiple times to follow up and was repeatedly told a nurse would call me back to schedule an appointment. The last time I called they said they would talk to a manager and have them call, but again nothing. After 3 months I can only assume at this point it's not just incompetence but for some reason intentional. It's really disappointing coming from a Mercy facility, as I have always had excellent care at the Mercy hospital and clinics in NW Arkansas."
"I filed a discrimination complaint against this clinic. My baby died while under their care and I want a medical investigation. They took my complaint and said someone would be in touch. Ive called and called, left voicemails, everything I know how to to get in touch to have my questions answered and Im beginning to think they are deliberatly ignoring me. Oh and it was the same doctor that everyone else is mentioning,"
"I moved to the Fort Smith area when I was 5 months pregnant and was immediately recommended to Dr. McClanahan. I wouldn’t recommend him or Mercy OB/GYN to my most hated enemy. My care was not taken seriously at this office at all. I apparently had gestational diabetes which I did not find out until I had my baby who had blood sugar issues and ended up staying in the NICU. This was my first baby so I had no idea what that meant for me or my baby and no one bothered to explain it to me until post-birth. At my 6-week check up, I was given a Pap smear which came back with abnormal cells (I had to google that part) but no one from the office called to go over the results with me. When I did call to get a colposcopy scheduled at the recommendation of the health department, I mentioned that I didn’t want to use Dr. McClanahan if at all possible and was essentially told that I needed to find a different office. The practice manager was supposed to call me months ago to explain why no one followed up on my Pap smear but go figure, no one called. I’m so disappointed with this office because on the other hand of all this, the labor and delivery wing is phenomenal. I had a wonderful birth experience thanks to my nurses who explained everything to me from the epidural to the effects of my gestational diabetes. Please, if nothing else, do better for your current and future patients. As for me, I will never use this office again."
