"Nurses are very good. Cindy, Nicole, Shanea plus all of the Nurses assistant's, Derek, McKenna, Kyra, Jessica, Christina and all the other workers were all good to me. The doctors were good also. Thanks again, Mike"
"My dad came in unable to stand or care for himself after an extensive acute care hospital stay. During the time here the nursing and therapy staff treated him with kindness and took care of all his needs helping him gain his independence back and return home."
"I was a patient there after suffering a stroke. The nurses and staff are some of the nicest people you’d want to meet. I have no issues with the medical side, however rehab is a joke.its more like a nursing home although the nursing home my mom was in had better rehab than this.If there is equipment for therapy I never saw it. Rehab consisted of taking me to the gym to walk. I was allowed to use a walker a couple of times but was never trained on it or the wheelchair that I sat in for most of my stay. My husband was forbidden to help me walk. He tried once because he was tired of seeing me sit in my room in a Wheelchair for hours at a time, but was reprimanded for it.I never lost the ability to walk but I did and still have left sided weakness. Speech therapy was good but was discharged from it after the 4th session so that I would have more time for physical therapy but that never happened so I lost any more speech therapy as I sit at home with a speech deficit which is very frustrating. For the most part I sat in my room in front of the tv. My left arm is still weak. I did not receive real strength therapy for it.no weight strengthening or band therapy. I saw they had a couple of bikes and asked about it as I thought it might help with my left leg but was ignored and instead was taken to a set of steps to walk up and down a couple of times. I think the therapist s could do a better job if they had something to work with. Also groups therapy in the dining room was to much of a distraction because everyone was talking at the same time, some very loudly. Case manager was cute but very rude. Refused to listen to my request to go home early after I felt I wasn’t getting the help I needed. I didn’t realize they were the ones who decided when a patient can go home. The second case manager also refused to answer my questions all I got out of her was”I’m sorry “. And if I wanted to go home I had to find the doctor. The nurses are great and helped me find the doctor who approved my early discharge. I thought the case manager was supposed to be a patient advocate, we’ve already been through a traumatic experience, why make our experience worse. All I got from her was I’m sorry. If I had a medical problem I might go there but rehab - no! I feel like my time and benefits to receive a useful therapy were wasted as I’m at home trying to build my strength by myself and therapy offered on YouTube which beats anything I received there. No disrespect intended but I couldn’t hold my feelings in any longer."
"I visited my MIL today. The case worker came in and spoke to MIL, she never spoke to me or envolved me in the conversation, she never even looked my way. She was about to leave when I told her that MIL had said that her food was always cold and she didn’t like eating it cold. We’re working on getting her to eat more btw. So when I mentioned this to her she said well when your husband is here he is welcome to heat it up in the microwave. Well my FIL is 83 too and is not there for all 3 meals. I don’t think it’s asking too much for her food to be warm especially since nutrition is key to her rehabilitation. She is stronger and I think is doing well so far. With proper nutrition she will get stronger faster and sustain her goals which is to walk on her own. I think overlooking the importance of food is setting a person up for failure. I promise you that not one person will get better if they don’t eat and nobody wants to eat cold food. Her nutrition played a very important part of her getting discharged from the hospital since they talked about putting in a feeding tube if she didn’t eat properly and that’s why this is very important."
"This was my second visit here. I encountered some good people. The wound care treatment that I received was much better than I could ever imagine. I have a few problems with a few things but once I brought it to the attention of the administration it was quickly corrected. If have a wound that needs to be treated there is no one more that I would recommend. You will get plenty of therapy and exercise. There were some things I had issues with. The treatment that I received regarding my primary medical need was set up to none."
