"I need to let the public know do not go here. There was another review on here which was deleted that was about the same as this. You pick your car up worse than when you dropped it off. Mike had my car 7 weeks! Every week was a new excuse, I was sick for one week, I call a week later, it turned into oh I was sick for 2 weeks, oh I fell. The very first time I called he got an attitude with me. "I told you I had a couple projects to do" Then started the weekly excuses. I went to him because he claimed to be a good guy and was going to "Help me with labor costs" So I was dumb and fell for it. I left him 1200 dollars for parts. Waited 7 weeks and then when the day came to pick it up, another thing went wrong, it will be one more day. Tuesday came and I could pick it up but Id have to stop back to get a sensor popped in. When I picked my car up it barely ran, I went to the gas station got gas and called Mike. I told him how it was running. He said "Oh I just had it out to Glencoe and it was just fine" . I got home and in the morning, my engine light starts flashing, I got my code reader out, cylinder 1 misfire. I call Mike I told him and he says "can you get here on your lunch break?" He replaces the coil pack and spark plug. They washed the motor and had gotten water in the spark plug area. Engine light has stayed off, BUT MY ORIGINAL PROBLEM IS STILL THERE! I needed my car fixed so badly and now I am back to square one and out $1200 dollars! Dont trust this guy! 2-1-24 he called me a democrat, even though there was nothing to base that on! I also was insulted for being a woman. The guy he has working with him is also verbally abusive."

"In April 2022, my Hyundai Santa Fe vehicle stopped operating when I was driving it. Within a couple of days, Big Mike diagnosed the vehicle needing a new engine and mentioned it would take him 2 weeks to get one and install which included parts and labor offering a 6-month warranty. I gave the go-ahead anticipating my car would be ready by mid-May 2022. This started a series of “I haven’t gotten to it yet, I will next week.” I picked my car up more than 3 months later. I requested details on the warranty paperwork and the 2nd motor that was needed as the first one didn't "sound right" to him. I had no idea how many miles were on the 2nd motor and Mike never disclosed it when I asked repeatedly. He always said he didn't know and would have to check. Due to his moving shop locations, he said he’d mail me a receipt and paperwork. This wasn’t done so I called and followed up a couple of times requesting information. None was sent. My car died again in November; 4 months and a couple of days after the initial pick-up. I towed my car there since it was covered under warranty. He then claimed it was only a 3-month warranty. I did reiterate the need for paperwork that I requested in July and previously. None was provided. The entire process was time consuming and painful. In my mind, Big Mike did not honor his commitment, failed to provide basic receipts with parts and labor breakdown as required by law, and did not attempt to provide resolution. I did take him to court where he didn't respond or show up. Which left the judgement in my favor."
