"Been with Smith for over 11 years and last year when I left to try another opportunity with a friend I knew after 2 months that it was a mistake. Not that my friend did anything wrong,so after a month of thinking and a lot of praying I realized that I just missed Smith. The Smith family and staff treated me well and I liked Worthington its like a 2nd home being from Arizona. Also Mike Phil and Pat helped me and encouraged me to become an owner operator about 6 years ago. I know that Smith isn't right for everyone but if you do your job and get to your destination on time. There's pretty much nothing that they would do for you. "I worked for Smith from 2014 to 2019... 2014 - 2017 as an OTR driver teamed with my wife and 2017 - 2019 in the office... been driving since 2004 OTR. Absolutely the best company I've drove for, no doubt. They also gave me the opportunity to learn behind the scenes work which I still do elsewhere. I'm from South Carolina and if it wasn't for that fact, I'd still be there, I'm sure. If my wife and I ever go back trucking, it will be with them. Great equipment, great family, great office staff, and great shop staff... not only that but you'll be running good loads, making good money, and look good doing it.
