NPMC Senior Care Center

NPMC Senior Care Center, located at 1900 Malvern Avenue in Hot Springs, Arkansas, is a specialized unit within National Park Medical Center for the care of geriatric patients with behavioral health needs. Specifically designed for patients aged 65 and over with emotional illnesses or behavioral symptoms such as dementia, Alzheimer’s, depression, and more, the Senior Care Center offers individualized care in a warm and supportive environment.

As a direct admit facility, patients do not need to go through the emergency department for admission. If a loved one is showing signs of an emotional illness, consultations can be scheduled by calling 501.620.2759. The center also offers a Physician Referral line at (877) 320-3222 to help locate a physician.

The Senior Care unit is a short-term facility where patients receive care while acute hospital care is required. The unit features specially designed patient rooms to meet the safety needs of the specific patient population served. Upon admission, patients undergo thorough evaluations to determine the causes of their behavioral or emotional issues, and an individualized treatment plan is developed with the goal of providing aftercare options such as day programs or outpatient therapy.
