"We’re always looking for a good local restaurant as we travel and Mother Kelley’s didn’t disappoint! Everything we had was wonderful! Fried chicken, fried pork chop, hamburger steak, hot water cornbread, mashed potatoes, green beans, peas, sweet & unsweet tea, buttermilk pie, sweet potatoes pie & mystery cake. We grabbed a cream cheese cake to go. Service was top notch! The parking lot is small and gave us some concern to being able to park with our 5th wheel, but the business next to them is closed and we were able to park in their parking lot with no problem. It was definitely worth the stop and we’ll be back when in the area!"

"The BEST fried catfish I have ever had! Service was friendly and fast! The food was amazing. I’ll make this drive from Austin, TX all over again! I will be back! Thank you ladies and gentlemen for such a wonderful meal!"

"The young lady that answered the phone before we went was very helpful and answered my questions with a smile. The young man that took our order had a dry demeanor. The food was good, but it would have been perfect if it was hot. I sent my macaroni back to get heated up but we really should have sent all 3 plates to be heated more. It was lukewarm. Overall we will go back if passing through again to give it another try."

"Once again Mother Kelley's did not disappoint. We were greeted before we both got through the door. The dining area is welcoming and spotless. After we decided which of the appetizing dishes we wanted, our order was taken at the desk and our experience got started. We chose our table where our server quickly brought our drinks and utensils. Our dinners were fast to follow. I love mashed potatoes with gravy so I had to have a bite as soon as my plate was on the table. I thought I heard harp music when I took that bite. I also had the most delicious fried okra and chicken fried steak that I have had probably since the last time I ate at Mother Kelley's. The steak had a beautiful crust and the meat was tender. Our drinks were refilled and we were offered carry out drinks which we accepted along with a carry out container for my companion. Before we got to the door we were invited back by the staff. I had enjoyed one of those meals that you don't want to end. We went before the noon rush so we had all the time we wanted to enjoy our meals; however, at noon there is a waiting line for a table. My advice is to go before the rush. You can wait until after the rush, but you risk finding your favorite daily special sold out."

"This place is BOMB! I got the chicken fried steak w/white gravy, black eyed peas, mashed potatoes w/gravy and hot water cornbread. Finished it off with a delicious tea cake. It was absolutely delicious. The fam got beef tips over rice plate. It was very tender and flavorful. The service there was great and very nice atmosphere. Can’t wait to go back and try other things on the menu."
