"I have taken dance with Joy throughout my life. No matter where I am in life (child-adult) she listens to what I need and helps me find something I miss or didn't even know I wanted to try! Joy wants you to find some form of excercise that benefits you and helps you in your life. I grew up taking tap, ballet and jazz from her. I always enjoyed her way of teaching because she really knew each student's personality and dance technique. I never forgot her fun, spunky and caring teaching style. I came back to her studio later for some ballet I had missed. Mom and I then wanted something we could do together, so we took her water aerobics classes. It doesn't take long to results while having great conversations in a pool. A few years later...my schedule became more difficult to work with, so Joy suggested a class I might like, Belly dance! Belly dance was a class I never thought seriously about, but once I was in that class I felt free to have fun and let loose! It was a self-esteem booster with an amazing group of people. Shimmyfest was a blast too! I love how open Joy's doors are with new classes and techniques. Also, she sells young living oils...I never really knew how to use them. She has helped me use those oils to overcome sore joints! Yoga classes are amazing for any kind of stress for any age! I didn't know how much I needed a yoga class until I felt the stress relief benefits! It's a great workout, plus the amazing aaahhh feeling for the next week or two!
