"The moment I approached this clinic, for the first time, at 6:45 AM I knew this would be a good experience. I walk with a cane. An employee came up behind me and rushed to hold the door open. He and several other employees helped me to find the various places I needed to be without even being asked. The two Dental Hygienists were thorough, gentle, informative, and encouraging. (My teeth are a mess.) The Dentist had to break the bad news that my much-delayed major surgery would have to be postponed again because of an infection in my teeth that would require two appointments a week apart. When I asked him for alternatives, he left the room for a short time to see what he could do. Upon returning, he offered to deal with the problem on the spot himself so that the surgery could be done on schedule. And, he did. My surgery is on schedule. Thank you to everyone at Health Partners Bloomington Dental Clinic for listening to a new patient and treating me with compassion and professionalism. I will be back in 6 months. p.s. One of the Hygienists noticed my lips were very dry at the end of a long session and handed me a Chap Stick for relief. How kind!"
"I had an appointment 3 weeks ago for a cleaning. I told the receptionist that I could be pregnant and didn’t want to have X-rays done. She told me that it was ok, I waited more than an hour and when the dental hygienist came and I told her, she said that I needed to be sure if I was pregnant or not because they had to take X-rays for new patients. I was scheduled for an appointment 3 weeks later. Today I called to make sure that they know I’m pregnant and do not want to have X-rays done. Well, the receptionist told me that they must take X-rays from all new patients so they could reschedule for me a later appointment. I’m 7 weeks pregnant so it means I have to wait 7 months until they can see me. I’m very disappointed ☹️ as a pregnant woman I also need dental care. Now I have to find another location that accepts my health partners insurance so that I can make sure my teeth and gums are in good health while my body nourishes my baby."
"Bloomington dental clinic is unprofessional starting with the clinic manager KALYA JOHNSON & staff who doesn’t know the clinic policies she also failed to give me her supervisors name and number due the clinics wrong doing . The receptionists are also unprofessional they do not have any phone etiquettes attitudes daily nor do the clinic send out reminders for appointments on your my chart or in person but will have the audacity to deny your service if you miss or is late to an appointment there is a 15 minute grace period that they do not abide by . They will also note your account with inaccuracies. Healthpartners bloomington dental clinic seriously needs a completely new staff they DO NOT stand by the companies philosophy at all ! As you all can see they have 2.5 stars that alone explains their terrible customer service ! Whoever is over the entire clinic needs to reevaluate the staff how embarrassing to be apart or healthpartners ! Do better !"
"This review is strictly for the Dental Receptionist who made me not want to even attempt to schedule an appointment there and look elsewhere. DEFINITELY needs to work on phone etiquette and manners. Acted annoyed that I had a few questions. Wanted to be seen to get a 2nd opinion and she WOULDN'T EVEN SCHEDULE THE APPOINTMENT! Wow. Told me to call Member Services on my Insurance Card. WHY exactly? Member Services told me that doesn't make any sense and to file a complaint. I should have been allowed to make an appointment. Overall, my experience dealing with HealthPartner Dental hasn't been good wherever I've went. Como, Wabasha, Bloomington....its like if you have State Insurance they don't care about you. Its sad I live 3 Blocks from this Clinic and feel like I can't go there."
"Having been here for 10+ years, finally switching to different clinic for myself and family. Most of the time on hold for 20 plus minutes to make appt; extremely rude receptionists on phone. I have left messages and not have them returned. Currently waiting for 25 minutes for an appt I showed up to on time and this is par for the course here. Very wonderful staff in back, so sad we are leaving. The staff in back have been great with my kids and my girls LOVE the dentist, so wish something could be done to make appt scheduling easier, as we would come back."
