"This place makes their own ginger sauce and it is advisable to put that on everything - it is delicious. They have a lot of items on their menu on which one can try this. We ordered a streak hibachi and a chicken hibachi - we did not order any sushi rolls but we may in the future. My partner and I enjoyed our food, she really enjoyed hers when she applied the ginger sauce to her steak. We ate inside the establishment and they served our food in styrofoam and plastic ware which we did not like. This did make it easier to take our food home but it kind of sent a message that wasn't all that welcoming. We will probably eat here again - the food is good - and the styrofoam may have been a temporary thing."
"The food is ok, KOI definitely needs some type of decorations, and be prepared to wait long periods of time for your order. I've never received my order in less than 20 minutes."
"Small dining area but more of a to- go place anyway. I went in and ordered to go. Food was ready in 10 minutes. Great customer service. I rate the food a 9. Not bad for take out."
"If you love Hibatchi food to-go but miss getting the full experience with the soup and salad, then go here! Finally a hibachi take-out restaurant with the delicious ginger dressing (or ranch if you’re that guy) and the clear broth with mushrooms (house soup) or miso soup (it comes with that one but I switched for the house) Now note, I am giving this five stars based on hibachi takeout, not bc they are the best in town. As far as take out goes, they get five stars bc the staff is kind, the flavors are good, and they are awesome for including the soup and salad with the hibachi noodles or rice dish. (I’m not counting the atmosphere in this rating bc they are meant to be a take out establishment but they are nice enough to let you eat inside at the old Mel’s Diner booths that have been in the building for ages.) Honestly For just opening the food was really impressive taste-wise. It is only take-out but you can eat inside so that’s a nice option. Just a heads up, it was meant for take-out so If you are expecting a Hibatchi atmosphere or a cozy dine-in ambiance, don’t. But if you don’t mind chillin in an old booth watching cars go by and chowing down on the food while it’s hot and fresh, it’s fine. This place is new and has the possibility to grow as decor and atmosphere goes. As far as the food, I highly recommend the AVOCADO BOMB! Like the name, it was bomb and could be a meal in itself. Get some steamed rice and put those bad boys on top and voila! A nice lunch. Also, I loved the house soup. It has a ton of flavor and spice and isn’t just a plain broth that’s over peppery like you find at some places. I also really enjoyed the ginger dressing on the crunchy iceberg salad and even as a dipper with the Shumai dumplings, which are also a delicious bite-sized snack you don’t see around here. The yakisoba with steak was really good, steak was a little on the chewy side but was better than some of the trucks around here and had PHENOMENAL FLAVOR OMG (comes with soup and salad too!!!!) The Rangoon had a really gooey filling with super crispy edges- I wish it came with a sweet n sour dipping sauce instead of packets of duck sauce but the duck sauce was actually really good on it (I’m just a dipper fan). Sushi was alright, really big bites so if you eat it in two bites the seaweed is a little hard to tear so I attempted to eat them in one bite- not the cutest look so be prepared, but the flavor was exactly what I expected except the spicy crab wasn’t really spicy (maybe they have sriracha packets?) The fried rice was really moist so that’s a plus if you are getting hibachi- only down side to that is they charge $3.95 to make the steamed rice fried when you order hibachi. That being said, the prices are a little on the high side but I’d go here over the closest food truck this side of town, especially for the awesome appetizers and the nice extras you get with the Hibatchi. Give ‘em a try, it’s decent for take out and I appreciated the options."
"We really enjoyed our Togo lunch from here. Husband got Shrimp and I got Chicken Hibachi. We both remarked that it tasted better than Benihana we ate at a few weeks ago. I definitely recommend giving this place a chance!"
