My Child's First School - Sherwood

"My son started at this daycare almost 3 years ago. He loves it! They have cameras so you can see everything that’s going on, they are very strict about payments & the facility is as clean as you would expect a daycare to be. Yes there may be some foul smells sometimes, but we are aware of the smell of poop right??? You can’t ask someone to treat your child as if they are the ONLY kid or like they, specifically, are special over any other child.. no matter where you go that will never happen unless it is from you, the parents. This daycare is amazing, my other child is not enrolled here until he starts Big Kid school next year, but hands down I can say that he adores and loves Ms Christine!!!!!! Each time I have an issue with my son or there is a weather update or even an update on which kids are sick and which classrooms are at risk, they respond to me immediately. The workers at this daycare are awesome & you have to give these people grace because they are superheroes for dealing with half of these unwilling, lazy, non trying parents out here for one and two, they deal with that same wild child or children that you come in to get and drop off everyday."

"Hate how I had to write this review, but this is not a daycare you want to send your kids to. I worked there for 3 months before they fired me for a petty reason, but while their teachers and other staff have been yelling at those kids especially the after school kids. One women who still works there, I heard her tell one kid, “be quiet before I give you something to cry about. Another worker, they call her “may may” she thinks she runs that side of the nursery because she was always seen telling people what to do and how they’re suppose to do it when she was never in charge of the daycare, they talk badly about the kids, then the lady who does the interviews can’t even help with the kids anymore because of DHS. DHS was called because a child was seen walking by herself (from somebody who lives in the apartments by the job), so they came and talked to Christine about it and they had a meeting about it and so now they told her she’s not legally allowed to help the teachers with the kids anymore, she was also written up by DHS because of that incident, she’s also not the supervisor anymore . Do you really want your precious baby or child up there with somebody who DHS said can’t work with the kids anymore?? Everybody and everything up there may all seem like a good place to send your baby or after school children to once you do the walk through around the buildings, but it’s not. Favoritism shows a lot up there and things weren’t fair, I had gotten fired because their daily sheets weren’t done “right” when I check and not to mention I also ask Christine about their bottles, but they blame me because as the owner said “caught me on camera doing the sheets wrong”, but I told him okay but like I said before I wasn’t the only one in there, so they blame it on me. The staff talked to the kids badly and owners showed favoritism and not tot mention, THEY DON’T DO HEALTH INSURANCE!!!! Another thing, they always got mad when people called out, so they want us to come up there sick when some of us worked with babies? Then not to mention, that may may lady, she talked bad about when people use to call out saying “how the hell are they suppose to still work there when they call off alot?” She’s a known gossiper up there so watch out who you tell your secrets to please because she’ll tell it all!! Christine got mad when people called out to, and when we were suppose to have our meeting on the first of this month (March 1st,2024), Christine canceled it because someone wanted to “get drunk” instead. All the above, just please find somewhere else to send your kids if you want them actually took care of and not yelled at 25/7 and also, they act all sweet once the parents come to pick them up and some even said they only worked up there for the money."

"Our daughter attended here for almost 2 years and it was a great experience. She loved all the teachers and we never had any complaints. The staff were all kind and I felt good knowing she was in good hands!"

"My daughter has been going there since she was 4 months old (she is now 9 months old). The staff are absolutely amazing with her. I was really nervous about putting her in daycare but I went and toured the facility, I knew that was where she needed to be. Very clean and safe facility. She is smiling when I drop her off in the mornings and smiling when I pick her up in the evenings. I absolutely love My Child's First School!!!"
