Denny's

"I ordered lunch online on my way through the area and I picked up my order inside the restaurant. I checked with the person at the register when I arrived, but my order wasn't quite ready yet, but that was expected as I came in shortly after placing my order. I sat down in the waiting area to wait for my order. About 5 minutes later a waitress came from the back with a bag. She sat the bag on a table near the register and immediately went back to the kitchen without ever saying anything to me. I went over and looked at the bag. I saw it had my name on it, but there was no one there to tell me if the order was complete or not, so I waited another 5 minutes until I saw the waitress come back out to the dining room. I had to ask her if my order was ready and finally she told me it was. I just wonder why she couldn't tell me that 5 minutes earlier when she saw me sitting there waiting, and I know she saw me. Also, when placing the order the website allowed me to request napkins and plastic utensils, which I did. The website also allowed me to add a tip for the server, which I did (even though I hate doing that upfront). Well, I didn't get any napkins or utensils. I didn't even get any ketchup for the fries I ordered. (See why I hate giving tips in advance?) My order was for two bacon cheeseburgers, one with fries and one with hashbrowns. The food was fresh, good and prepared correctly according to how I ordered it. I hope the cook gets the tip I left instead of that waitress."

"Maybe today is just not my day. I waited a few minutes to be seated. I wasn't irritated about that because I know these places are short staffed. The gentleman that came in after me ordered his food while I'm still sitting waiting to be served. I decided to give it a few more minutes and I just walked out. There needs to be some better communication between the staff. Maybe I'll try again after shift change."

"It ‘s understandable to have short staff but how come this restaurant serve food with filthy sticky table?.server ignore to wipe the table off stains, after I get seated. napkin stuck on table as shown picture when I tried to grab it off from table. They’d just lifted the previous guest plates but for get to clean afterwards."
