"The clothes they sell are nice. Decently priced, too. My daughter and Husband took up a tote of clothes to sell. There were only teenagers there and they didn't want to sort through the clothes, so they looked through the top and then messaged to say they were done. When he got to the store they said they couldn't keep any of it cause there were stains on all of it.... There are about 45 pair of nice jeans in that tote.... Aeropostal, American Eagle, Maurice's, Torrid, and a ton of PINK items. Would have been nice to sell them so we can buy more from them. But I do believe this will be my last excursion with them."
"For the most part it’s been OK. But when I go to sell clothes, I feel like the girls are very rushed for some reason and they can be very rude. I understand you don’t wanna buy all the clothes sometimes and I completely understand that but over half the time it’s like they don’t wanna go through the clothes and when they tell us hey we didn’t want anything and I go to talk to them they just cut us off and say bye And don’t want to give an explanation. And everyone that was selling clothes today seemed to be having the same experience and this is not the first time it’s happened. So it seems to be a reoccurrence where the girls behind the counters are not having a good day, and they show that with their customer service to the Girls that are trying to sell items at this location . Instead of the items being the reason why they were not being purchased, it was more of the Day they were having. And it’s starting to discourage me and others to not want to sell clothes at this location. Another occurrence I had close to so she told me it would be about 40 minutes, so I was shopping around the store and within 10 minutes she told me I could pick up my clothes they were wet and she would not accept them. I was confused and how they would be wet since they were closing items that had been stacked in store for a week And had no signs of dampness they weren’t just recently washed. When I tried to explain this to her, she was very rude so I gathered my things. And finished doing my shopping. And then It seemed that she was rushing to leave. And from what I can tell, she didn’t want to go through the clothes so that she could leave early Is the other girls were making it seem like the counter. So again all these experiences continue to happen and it’s making me not want to sell clothes or to buy clothes from this location."
"Friendly staff. They have so many great choices in varieties of sizes, with mens, women's, and kids options available. Their prices are my only hold-up. Some items were very well priced (my daughter got some ariat shoes that retail for $69 for $14), but some are ridiculous (a pair of crocs with a hole in the heels sole were over $10, and a Tried and Tru sweatshirt for $8 that currently retails at Wal-Mart for $10 new). If you have the time to dig and price check, this has the potential to be an awesome store. They do have a great selection of jewelry and accessories (like hair clips, croc charms, and handbags). We will be back!"
"Went in with my daughters yesterday, not a single worker said “Hi”,”welcome!”, or even acknowledged us when we came in. Not once where we asked if we were finding everything, or if we needed help since I use a wheelchair there was a few things I couldn’t reach that I would’ve liked to have looked at but, they seemed very inconvenienced by customers. Clothes were good but the people made me not wanna shop very long."
"Took 3 bins of clothes and an authentic black Gucci belt that I do not wear anymore. Went to pick up and they offered me $15 for 6 things, one being the Gucci belt. They were going to give me TWO DOLLARS AND TEN CENTS for it. I asked how in the world prices are determined, and they said their system does it for them. I asked when I dropped off if the belt is something they would take, and was told yes. When picking up, I was told “well we do take designer items but our system won’t price them at designer, so we just give you what we would for a normal black belt.” So in short, Plato’s closet is 100% ok with ripping their customers off. Will not be bringing my items in any more."
