"For our twelfth 'cue stop in Arkansas, and the 379th on a 35 state BBQ odyssey, we dropped in here for a very late lunch, and we're glad we did. $46.77 plus tip bought a terrific appetizer serving of fried green tomatoes, which went well with ranch dressing. A regular rib dinner (St. Louis style) featured large, meaty well smoked ribs, which worked well with the two house sauces, especially the saucy one. The cheesy grits proved excellent, and the fried okra was … fried okra. We also complemented a half sized order of nachos topped with smoked chicken (also moist and well smoked) with a very spicy order of links. They bring the heat! In sum, this restaurant is two miles into town from the interstate, and well worth the detour."
"Taylor was our waitress and she was amazing! She did a great job! Now to the actual review. We ordered the Possum meatballs, sampler plate and the sausage links. Our sides were sweet potato fries, cheesy grits, baked beans and onion rings. To say this place was mid is a major overstatement. Our brisket was almost jerky. The pulled pork was extremely stringy and the ribs were completely unedible. I am the type of person that would forgive a bad experience because places can have a bad day but the management knew we had bad food and never even came to our table. The manager on duty was Twanna (I think that's how it's spelled). The only good thing I got were the fries. They were absolutely great. 1.5/5 stars. Not even edible for my dogs."
"Such a great find, whether you are local and live in the Ozark area or traveling down I40 on your way south to Little Rock or heading west to Dallas. Closed Sunday and Monday, so plan for that in your trip. They have the best smoked meats, TOTALLY recommend the smoke chicken salad or the pulled pork sandwich (my favorite). Their sauce-on-the-sides are great too. A mild (which is FULL of flavor) or a hot (great if you like some spice). I’d be remiss if I didn’t insist that you order the Possum Dumplings as a starter. 6 in the order, these smoked pork “meatballs” with a tangy dipping sauce are Da Bomb. I always get them and never regret my decision. Service is wonderful, showcasing what we in the South are proud of-friendly, never-met-a-stranger, southern hospitality. You’ll leave full, happy, with the intent to spread the word cause it’s just that good!"
"Everything we had was amazing, tender, and had great flavor. We got their combo plate and an order of nachos. Our sides were sweet potato fries, green beans, salad, and onion rings. All of it was so very tasty. I think it's some of the best BBQ I've had. Great waitress and service in a wonderful atmosphere. We will definitely be back."
