Del Rancho - Tahlequah

"5 stars for being unique. You order through a phone at your table. Old school feeling and decor when you walk in. However, we were just passing through and had questions about the menu. We couldn't get anyone's attention. We went and ordered, a server brought the food to the table and that was it. The servers were walking around cleaning tables, bringing food out, but I never saw any of them check on any tables after bringing the food out. The fried bread was delicious. My wife got a chill cheeseburger which was good. I had the chicken fried steak (heard that it was a must have when visiting Oklahoma), it was good. The pricing is fair. Overall, a neat place with a fun, unique, old school atmosphere and worth a visit."

"What a classic diner atmosphere. You can sit at a booth and order food over the phone. The prices are very inexpensive. The service was friendly and efficient. I had the frito chili pie. It literally was a small handfull of dry fritoe with a scoop of basic canned cheap chili poured on with some shredded cheese. I mean, it was cheap, so meh. The banana pudding was so-so. The classic 1960s diner atmosphere, great service, and cheap prices were worth the stop. OH! Get the fry bread!!!! That was like an american sopapilla... so good!!!"

"Convenient location, easy access, just of the highway into Tahlequah! Have not try the Indian bread taco and will be back for it! The fish n chicken fried basket is just normal and not worth bragging about. The lemon pie does pack a mean punch and I love it. The hostess is very and come by just to check on us several times. Very old style ordering system, plan old phone. I suspected the call to order go directly into the hot kitchen, just the old phone gave this nolstagic feeling of time since past!"

"We stopped at Del Rancho in Tahlequah, my 2nd time to Ray at a Del Rancho, my husband's 1st time. My 1st time was in Shawnee and I LOVED IT!!! I was excited for my husband to try the chicken fried steak. Food was just ok, very small portion for breakfast compared to many restaurants. I was really disappointed in the chicken fried steak. Service was pretty good for a busy as they were. Atmosphere was amazing. Was so cool to get to pick up an old style telephone to place our orders. Took us a few minutes to figure this out, lol."
