Reviews of Veterans Thrift Town
"Let's just put it out there now when me and my wife visited AR. We went to Veterans thrift town store and what bargain we got. So it's hand me downs who cares they wash just like the expensive clothes but you get a great deal of more clothes for your dollar. In today's world a bargain is worth my dollars pay less get more my kind of store. Thank you for your store."
"Veterans Thrift Town, oh boy, where do I even begin? Let me paint you a picture of this delightful establishment, which I'm sure you'll find absolutely captivating. Brace yourself for the worst thrift store experience you could ever imagine, right here in the beautiful state of Arkansas. First of all, let's talk about the ambiance. As soon as you step foot into Veterans Thrift Town, you'll be greeted by a cloud of dust that rivals the Sahara Desert. It's like they've made it their mission to preserve every single mothball in existence, because the smell is simply overpowering. Ah, the sweet scent of nostalgia mixed with mothballs, truly a match made in heaven. Now, let's move on to the merchandise. Prepare to be transported back in time, my friend, because everything here is so outdated it's practically vintage. I mean, who needs a big turnover when you can proudly display the same glassware and decor that was there five years ago? It's like a time capsule, frozen in the glory days of yesteryear. Oh, and let's not forget about the furniture. If you're in the market for a good laugh, just take a look at their prices. They've managed to achieve the impossible by making their furniture both overpriced and underwhelming. It's truly a work of art, if you consider art to be a complete rip-off. Now, I know what you're thinking. "This place needs a serious makeover!" Well, my friend, you couldn't be more right. Veterans Thrift Town desperately needs a cleaning intervention. Perhaps they should consider donating their outdated merchandise to a shelter, where it might actually find some use. And let's not forget about the pricing masterminds behind this operation. They truly deserve a demotion for their exceptional ability to overvalue items that belong in a time long forgotten. Thrift Town is the ultimate destination.that will make you ponder your life choices."
"Prices are so ridiculous. Too bad; they could have high revenue for the veterans, if the stuff was not so over priced. $85 on a 1980’s picture.$5 on piece of junk certificate of appreciate from 1994"
"Horrible customer service experience... Walked in to but just a shirt for a little girl I was watching and only had 10$ on me. So when I found a baby swing that I wanted I asked for a price because it wasn't marked and I was told 10$ so I left to go switch a few dollars to my cash app card and came back to make the purchase... When I got back the total was 14 and some change I had 10$ in cash and 4 and some change on my card... They wouldn't let me purchase anything on my card for less than 5 dollars so I went out of my way to go borrow the money and a couple hours later went back for the purchase anything with cash and then I was told it was 20$... They said the owner said it was too cheap and to change the price but then he wouldnt even come out and talk to me or anything.....I thought it was supposed to be somewhat of an honorable place considering it's a VETERANS THRIFT STORE, but they don't even honor their own words... I would have paid the 20 had it been priced that in the beginning but what a horrible way to do a customer. No integrity at all!"
"veterans is truly a GEM in the dumpster that is Fort Smith thrift stores. do you have to dig through the less desirables to find the diamonds? yes, every time. are there questionably haunted items in every corner of this place? absolutely. but MAN, the goodies that are in this place are top notch. the best place for vintage knick knacks, collectibles, and unique antique items! 50 cent rack restocked for clothes at the beginning of every month, with name brand clothing in great condition! i’ve decorated 75% of my apartment with goodies from Veterans. delightful vintage holiday decor, some great furniture finds, and a purrrrfect little shop keeper Miss Kitty to keep you company while you browse! i have noticed that in the last few months the prices have been… odd? to say the least. i think a new inventory / pricing person was hired. they’ll price a damaged/broken item at $40 but a perfect condition vintage item worth easily $60-100 at like, $4.99 lol — the furniture is really hit/miss and usually priced too high. but they’re willing to reason as long as a fair offer is presented. the prices did used to be more in line with what an item is actually worth. what’s the point of thrifting if everything is perfectly placed and you don’t have to rummage for anything? that’s not a thrift store, that’s a boutique — and Veterans gives you that great thrill of a find every time! Also, Brittney at the front is AMAZING. so genuinely kind, always tells us about new items, and asks us how we’re decorating with what we’re buying. she is so sweet. :) i will never ever stop shopping here- been a dedicated customer for over 8 years now! thank you veterans for being a consistent retailer in our area ❤️"
