"No customer courtesy. No professionalism. Just a rude cashier.it seems if you are in line and waiting to check out before the people behind you. Then you should be checked out first. The line is a joke completely unorganized. I won't be going back to that store."
"Quick in and out trip took more time than it should have."
"I have been shopping at this dollar general religiously for many many years, in fact I rarely step foot in any other whole home retail store other than this particular dollar general. However this past week I participated in the penny shopping experience for the first time and it brought out a side of the Dollar General employees and stores that I have never seen before particularly this one store that is or was my home store that I have spent thousands of dollars in for my home, my family, and my business. After the whole penny shopping ordeal, yesterday I was on my way to Fort Smith and I decided to stop at my home store in Mulberry Arkansas to grab a few things just to kind of see what happens after the craziness of penny shopping. I think this will be a good learning experience not only for myself but for my children in both economics, finance, retail, life, but most importantly, human decency. As I stroll I was genuinely interested in what the stores aftermath would be and if there would be any penny items left, and the shake the store be left in after such craziness. I strolled around these familiar isles and felt much empathy for the workers here until I noticed a box in the very top shelf that was not consistent with the other items around it. Out of just basic curiosity I scanned it and it didn’t pop up a penny so I decided why not? I strolled around a little more I noticed that in the bath oil the bathmats and the curtains rematch disarray one of the rods seem twisted and many of the shower curtains had fallen onto the bottom shelf and even onto the floor and there were shower curtains in different areas that they did not belong so I scanned want to make sure and indeed it was burnt around $12 and it was in an eight dollar slot so I put it back or attempted to put it back in the eight dollar slot but as I said some of the rods were bent and broken and things were continuing to fall down so I did what I could throw my hands up and decided to finish my shopping. As I made the corner near the frozen foods I was rapidly approached by the gentleman that I believe is the current store manager who began talking about how he could appreciate my “bargain shopping “but I would not tear up his store that he would have me removed or that he was only required to sell me one item and they make me leave because I was tearing up his store and destroying his merchandise. I was destroyed emotionally because not only did I not destroy his merchandise I didn’t pack try to put merchandise back in the right area because I have worked in retail I have been in their shoes and it’s just a habit that I’ve gotten into for many years. I don’t know why he accuse me of this I don’t know if an employee told him I did it or if he was just using it as an excuse to not have to sell me the penny item either way I handed him back the cups and told him he may have gotten his penny item but he had lost a customer for life . I have contacted corporate and I have started gathering together my receipts from the past year or so and so far the ones that I have totaled up have equal over $4000 so I hope that whatever caused him to be so disrespectful to a long-term devoted loyal customer was worth a penny he traded it for. I will make sure my voice is heard so while the storm I seen convenient, cheap, and even have remotely acceptable customer service, underneath it all if you come along at an inconvenient time for them or if you shop sales that they don’t like such as the penny sales you will find out just how truly disgusting these employees can treat not only just a regular customer but a long-term customer who spends a lot of money. As much as I absolutely loathe Walmart , I will be returning to their stores and I will make sure everywhere I go I tell them all about the jaded disrespectful management and other employees at the Dollar General in Mulberry Arkansas."
"It's big, for a DG, has a gas station and very good selection for snacks and groceries. For my small town area, where the big box stores are 15 minutes or more drive away at 60 mph, this particular DG fills a very nice niche."
"This is a very upscale place compared to other Dollar General stores in this area. Complete with gas and even settling meats and produce it's an extremely convenient shopping experience. I've been a couple of times and have been satisfied each time."
