"Absolutely one of the best spots in NWA. Latin food with Ecuadorian flavors. Freshly made from great ingredients and served by attentive, friendly staff. I cannot praise Rolando’s enough! Make reservations or arrive early,"
"The food is usually pretty good, the tortilla soup is bland, lacking flavor but the beans and rice and enchiladas are pretty good. The service is kind although usually short handed so it takes some time to get in and out of this place. The drinks are great, and although the atmosphere is unique and friendly the actual temperature of the restaurant is pretty chilly."
"Ecuadorian style Mexican food and more. We ordered the tortilla soup, tamale plate, and Josea's quesadillas. Very flavorful with a gourmet flare and presentation . Salsa is a black bean with corn base, which is too mild for my liking, but the others really liked it. Quesadillas had a flattened breaded and pan-fried chicken breast inside a flour tortilla, with a cream sauce and mango sauce on top. It was delicious. My husband ordered the tamales, but they were out of the pork and instead ordered the chicken and green chili tamales. He liked them but liked my Quesadillas better. But as we checked out, the waitress brought him a pork tamale yo go because they had just finished cooking a new batch. Very sweet of her. I wouldn't eat here once a week, but it is worth an occasional trip to the Metro district to try it out."
"Nice place, very clean and friendly staff. We were seated immediately and drinks were very quick to come out along with Chios and salsa. Its a bean and corn salsa with no heat. It's not my favorite but it was good. We had enchiladas and a burrito. Food can out pretty quick and was very good. Again, it's not spicy but they do have bottled hot salsa they will bring on request. Both the burrito and enchiladas were well cooked and flavorful. It was a nice change from Mexican restaurants. Waitress was very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. I would recommend this restaurant."
"Another restaurant that has gone under my radar for so long. This high end restaurant really impressed me. Our server was super nice and preemptively bringing our table what it needed. They also have root beer, which I loved because most Mexican restaurants in NWA don't have root beer. I tried the queso blanco, of course, and I really liked it. I'd say it was A tier. For my entree, I got the taquitos. Let me tell you, these are not your normal taquitos. They were delicious and the rice and beans were so unique in a good way too. All around, the food was amazing. At the end, the server was kind enough to bring me a togo cup of root beer and split the checks among our table. The price is a little high, but Rolando's is still worth trying at least once!"
