"So this place is an old fashioned bar straight out of the late 1960's or early 70's. You can have a couple of beers and a pizza for about $20. Good service. Karaoke on Friday's, and bingo on other days. Also special events like Ribfest, etc. It's not fancy, but it is extremely clean AND they want your business-everyone is welcome. An interesting gathering spot that is the antithesis of the typical gathering places in Wayzata. Keep your expectations in check and you'll be pleasantly surprised."

"I went here for a Friday night fish fry recently and it was a truly great experience! The fish fry was only $10 for an all you can eat! The food was very good and there was not a long wait at all considering it was standing room only.... It was packed! After the fish fry was done, they were hosting a karaoke event too! Definitely worth stopping by for good food and cheap drinks!"

"First time at the American Legion. We had a blast! The snow was starting to fly and we wanted to get dinner before it really started coming down. We happened in right after 4pm on a Saturday, well, BINGO was in progress. I have long held that no other fancy burger gourmet or high end bar, can beat that of a burger from an American Legion or VFW. They did not let me down here. It was fantastic! I ordered two! We got cheese curds and Ribs and fries and chicken wings. All with beers. Played some BINGO as well. Not bad for three people at $50. Service was better than at some high end restaurants. We'll for sure be back!"
