"After 35 years of shopping at Ampersand, buying countless gifts, I will never return.The service from the staff and manager were quite brusque. Totally non-flexible. I purchased a gift that was a promotion at Ampersand was not wanted by my father. I brought it back for an exchange and was categorically denied. No return no exchange on sale merchandise (new in original packaging with receipt). I would never have purchased this if I knew it couldn’t be returned or exchanged. Buyer beware at Ampsersand. Customer service was the worst! I will share this story with my alerting them to the decline of Ampersand. Sad to post this review."

"Was in the store today. Politely asked an employee whether they carried a certain item. She didn’t turn around to speak to me and her response was just a rude “no”. Stopped shopping in there. Won’t be back."

"This is a delightful store. You can find pretty much anything for greeting cards candles high-end luxury home scents and very tasteful holiday themed decor."

"Some great products in this store but I won't be going back. Visited the store for the first time on a Saturday and had already picked up some items to purchase, when a staff member said very abruptly that they would be closing in 5 minutes. This felt quite rude and not exactly customer friendly. I was still picking out items to purchase and my partner was meeting me there to help choose some items. He was held up in a nearby store in line to check out and I explained this to the staff member. She just asked which store and then walked off. So I quickly finished up, then she spent time finding someone to do the check out- despite no other customers being served. I left with a feeling that their closing on the dot was far more important than me spending more money in their store. None of the sales people seemed at all friendly - very negative experience overall."

"The contents of this store is absolutely gorgeous! The sales people are so rude and arrogant! As a customer who actually purchases here, the sales people need to to provide a higher quality level of service given the price point of this store. Adjust your attitudes ladies! It’s not hard to be kind as transaction time is minimal."
