"Terrible customer service from the manager today. Tried to return a defective product with a receipt and was told that it's my fault and he wouldn't help me. I explained to him that I tested the battery and it was fine but he didn't want to hear. I literally spend thousands of dollars here every year. What a joke. This is a fire hazard."

"Went with a buddy, and we checked out in different lanes & we BOTH were treated rudely by the ladies at the registers. Having someone who claims to be the owner saying "sorry about that; if you need more help contact the store manager" doesn't help. Holding your employees accountable for their attitude while they are at work would. When you have a job that requires you to talk directly with customers, you need to leave your personal problems at the door and treat the customers respectfully. You are supposed to be representing your company. And just how many people own this place? All of the reviews that have been answered by the so-called owner have different names."

"Friendly and knowledgeable service across the board. Went in looking for light fixtures ideas, and left with new shower head, a start up basil leaf growing kit for my son, and loads of paint swatches (and inspiration) for upcoming projects."

"I am proud to say I have visited the Apple Valley Menards throughout the past 30 years, give or take. First store located on Cedar Ave and CR 42, then the store next to Sam's Club on 42, and now the brand new "super store" located just East of the previous smaller store. Each store has become "bigger and better"! This store features much more "inside" shopping, even for construction lumber and plywood, etc. But the store also features a larger array of "everything" - tools, doors, building materials, plumbing, electrical, shelving, you name it. The store is well-laid out, and easy to navigate. Seasonal items come and go, but you really don't need a 50 ft garden hose and grass seed in January, do you? The staff here are amazing, and most have extensive knowledge in home building. They are mostly older and "seasoned", except for the check out staff (younger). Right now, the store moved a lot of stuff out into the enclosed landscaping area, to clear the seasonal stuff out for an extensive supply of Christmas stuff. Yes, a lot of the merch at Menards are made in China, I get that. But catch them on a sale, with the commensurate 11% off sale (these seem to be never-ending sales), then the deals are real. This store offers a large number of pickups for rent (short term), and a nice and convenient "loading only" area of the parking lot. The general parking lot is enormous, and well-light. Again, the store in AV is not even a year old, so everything here is still "fresh"."
