"Love this place. The staff and owner are always very friendly and fun to talk with. The food is amazing and has one of the best fry/burger options in the Twin Cities! All the menu items taste amazing and the new french toast dessert is great!"
"We weren’t able to get a table at one of our usual spots, but it turned out to be a blessing in disguise, because it brought us to Gus Gus. I’ve been meaning to go as I’ve heard great things and it did not disappoint!! We started with the brussel sprouts and poutine. Although I usually like a very crispy brussel sprout, these just had a little bit of crisp but were still very tasty and so flavorful. I’m a harsh critic of poutine, as I am a self- proclaimed Poutine Queen and I usually like a more simple poutine without meat BUT let me tell you, the fried gnocchi mixed with the melty cheese and perfectly braised oxtail was one of the best things I’ve ever eaten. This dish is the definition of comfort food and it’s very rich, so make sure you share with a friend. Last, we shared the lemon risotto scallops and the cheeseburger. The risotto was great! The fennel salad combined with the lemon had a unique and delicious flavor. NOW, the renowned cheeseburger. I was so full by the time I got to the cheeseburger and I told myself I was going to take a bite to try it fresh and take the rest home. Did that happen? Nope! I ate my full half, I couldn’t stop. I mean this in the best way possible, but the flavor was a combination of White Castle (caramelized onions) and a Big Mac (the mustard aioli *I think*), only an elevated version. The bun was so fluffy, so although the burger looked large and hard to eat (we all know those burgers with HUGE buns that are impossible to eat), it squished perfectly. Honestly, the most perfect burger I’ve ever had. 10/10 I want to go back this weekend."
"I really loved my experience at Gus Gus! Everything tasted delicious, our server was delightful, and the atmosphere is so nice and cozy on a cold night! I got the burger, the chocolate mousse cake, the chips, and The All Inclusive cocktail. I cannot even attempt to explain how fantastic everything tasted! My friends got the sea bass and scallops and really loved those as well!"
"Gus Gus is like a page from Cinderella. It's a nice tucked away tavern, with a great atmosphere and lots of seating, except is packed even on a Thursday night. The service was prompt, and the menu was chic. The food items were select, but the drink items were vast and unique. The front door has steps, so it's not specifically wheelchair friendly. Possibly there is an accessible entrance to the rear. The burger was fantastic, and the gnocchi was fabulous. Very decadent. Will go again."
"Fun place with great food! Everything was full of flavor, some fun twists on typical offerings. Poutine, burger, jello shot - all delicious! Drinks are well thought out and have great flavors. The service was great, attentive, waters always full. The vibe is energetic, not overly loud and not too quiet. A couple patio spots are offered as well! We will go back!"
