Reviews
"I really appreciated the number of vegan options and variety they had. The vegan buffalo bites were the consistency of falafel but taste similar to buffalo wings. The seating is ample and partially covered, the view of the lake is excellent, and you didn't have to wait long for your food. The Painted Turtle is a great addition to the food options associated with the lakes, and could easily rival Sea Salt as the superior option in 2024 when they have beer."
"The lake is such a great place to bike to and enjoy the breezes. The Painted Turtle just opened and the food is great. Perfect for a lunch by the lake. Chicago Dog was legit. BYOB until they get the liquor license sorted out."
"I got the walleye sandwich with waffle fries and it was really good. Hard to believe this place opened like a month ago and I haven't been here yet."
"YUM! What a fun new patio restaurant right on the beach! I ordered the Best in Show Chicken Sandwich and it did not disappoint."
"Great location but the food left a bit to be desired. The chicken had good flavor but was incredibly dry. It was slightly improved with getting a side of siracha mayo to dip it in. The walleye was okay but you don’t get enough to justify the $18 price tag. We did enjoy the waffle fries! They just opened so we will try again this summer to see if they’ve made any improvements after they’ve been open for a little while longer."
