"Definitely recommend reservations. We tried the mussels, sweet potato fritters, cooper burger (impossible version), beauty burger, and olive oil and berry cake. The fritters were quite good with a slight kick of cayenne. Cake was simple and not very sweet but I think next time we’ll try a different dessert. No cocktails on the menu which I was slightly bummed about but they do have beer and wine. There is also a cocktail bar next door but we didn’t stop in there. Overall pretty good and recommend checking out."

"Seriously tasty. Cool atmosphere. Great server. Was in direct communication with owner (did not realize until later) about my reservation via email and adding my kids to it. My 1 and 7 year old helped make sure there were no leftovers from the pasta and pork belly we ordered. This is a place to go back to."

"First time visiting STEPCHLD and I am a big fan of this place. Very friendly and hospitable staff and the food is a slam dunk. The Cod tacos had a big piece of cod that was crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. So much flavor added with the guacamole, slaw, and jalapeño sauce. The main course I had was the Wagyu short rib pasta and it was fantastic! Plenty of pasta with great flavor from the short rib. I need to stop in here again so I can try other items on the menu. Great food and vibes at STEPCHLD!"

"Stepchld in Minneapolis has a great romantic atmosphere and a nice bar area. We tried the sweet potato fritters and two non-alcoholic drinks to start. The fritters were excellent. For dinner we had the crispy cod tacos and the Cooper burger with fries. The burger was amazing, one of the best in the city for sure! Service was excellent, but note they do add on a 10% service fee, we still tipped 20% on top of that. The bill before the tip was $72.00. I'll definitely be returning, reservations highly recommended because the restaurant is small."

"Cute little spot with friendly service. Ate at the bar and was amazed how the two chefs were able to whip up everything so fresh and fast right before your eyes. The chicken wings were so flavorful, and the sweet potato fritters were amazingggg. Drinks were great as well. My burger subbed with an impossible patty had a great texture. A little salty, but that gooey cheese was worth it."
