8th Street Grill

"Displaying a poster of the menu in the bathroom stall next to the toilet is very unappetizing and unappealing. Had I seen this before I ordered and ate my food, I would have left without eating. I had an okay burger and fries. The fries had a coating, you know what I mean? To me, this coating usually means inferior frozen french fries. Great service from the staff. People kept seating themselves bypassing the hostess station. Seems like 8th St Grill was one of the few places open on Sunday afternoon. I heard a lot of guests mentioning they were in town for a conference at the connection center flying in from all over the world. The server had to tell guests who found their own seats that they needed to be seated by a server instead. I even had to ask the bartended how to get food. The atmosphere is not great. Approaching the entrance from 8th street, the place looked closed with dirty windows under a big concrete entrance into a parking garage. Entrance on Marquette is sooooo much better."

"I have only ever stopped by for service at the bar. I am not a regular and have ordered a cheeseburger in the past and various bowls of soup during my most recent visits. The servers are efficient and genial. The atmosphere is generally one of flat screen televisions with sports galore or unfortunate MTV programs like "Ridiculousness" showing unappetizing features. If you are enamored of sports, this is a great bar for you with plentiful libations."

"This place is not bad. I got buffalo wings which were 8/10 BUT, after eating two, the salt was too much so I suggest sharing them. They aren’t able to do all flats which is a bummer, but it isn’t a wing place so whatever. I got like 11, the sizes were big. I also customized a pizza with mushroom and onions. I cannot recommend because the cheese wasn’t really melted well. Idk if it was too much or the grade was low quality but it’s a 2/10 because there was barley any sauce. I should asked for extra sauce because it was like they missed that step. The ranch made it better but eh, waste of money. Lastly I got the Cajun chicken pasta. This was the winner of the three. The chicken was a bit dry, but the flavor was great and it was actually spicy. If you don’t like spicy, don’t get it. This pasta actually has a kick, it isn’t like a cute Cajun pasta that you’ll find at your local Chili’s. I hope this helps."

"I ordered the fried curd and walleye dinner, and they were both great. The cheese curds were chewy and flavorful, and the walleye filled was juicy and tender. The mashed potato was a bit gritty, but the flavor was pretty good with the melted butter ."

"We took our volleyball team and parents here for a late lunch. It was a big group to serve, but the waitress did a good job taking care of us. They offer a solid menu of bar food, but this is no place for a diet. We tried a broad range of dishes and pretty much everyone was happy with their food. First thing to note is the portion sizes are HUGE. I had the Buffalo Chicken salad which was big enough to split with my daughter. Others ordered the plank salmon, BLT, club sandwich, Chicken Parm, nachos, chicken sandwich, cheese curds and pepperoni pizza. I’d highly recommend sharing a meal. They have loads of beer on tap that were very cold and delicious. Overall it was a nice experience."
