Reviews of Harold's Chicken
"So I came in yesterday at about 3:30 in the afternoon and let me tell you the pretty girl upfront was really nice and helpful. She also got the order correct everybody else that came in contact there was nice as well. They had Friday playing classic how could you be mad at that, the weight was maybe about 30 minutes which was perfect timing I’d rather wait for my hot fresh food so I don’t know why people are complaining about long. Wait times would you rather go to KFC where your chicken is sitting there in a hotbox ? The facility was completely clean. My food came out, fresh and hot. I will definitely be coming back to this location."
"The Chicken is not bad. It's not what I remember traveling to Chicago with my husband which is from Chicago I felt like the Chicken could have been a little bit more seasoned. The breast was a little dry so if I ever get Chicken from Harolds again, it would be just the wings. But I will have to say that butter cookie is the bomb. Don't like the fact that you can't opt out like onion rings for fries with an up charge. By time you get home the fries are not as good they're better when they're just hot. Not everybody likes french fries. So there should be an up charge for an optional side. For a 4 piece mix, I think that they should at least give you one more coleslaw. My husband and I split the four piece. So now I know to get the 8 oz. A 5-year-old would be mad at that little bit they give you. I thought the people that was working there was very nice but I will have to say the wait time is pretty long."
"Wasted $40 and 45 minutes of time. Went about a week ago and the place was packed so we left without ordering. Went again this afternoon and I wish I would have read the reviews first. We ordered food and waited outside for about 15 minutes then went back in only to wait about another 30 minutes only to end up with the wrong food. Ordered catfish and shrimp and actually got overcooked, under-seasoned tilapia with extra greasy, non-seasoned, mediocre chicken wings. The fries that came with the combo were fat, basic, bland restaurant fries which don’t even stand a chance to Ore-Ida. The bread is nothing but a plain piece of white bread; not even toasted. And the mild sauce tasted like a bland ketchup with a splash of even blander hot sauce to make it thinner. I have had better food from the corner store deli! Harold’s Brooklyn Center needs to do better and if this is any reflection of Harold’s in Chicago, they need to do better too! Let’s just say if I was Keith Lee, they would have been shut down today. Do not even waste your time here!"
"Ok, I have seen the reviews about how long the wait was at Grand Opening, but two weeks later and we wait 1 1/2 hours, while the kitchen staff is arguing and swearing at each other, had the place not reeked of the Devils Cabbage, I may not have been so mellow, the traffic in front of this place was like finding every bad driver in the Twin cities and telling them they get chicken if the can get out of the lot without honking or hitting anyone. The staff was slow, very lackadaisical, and as professional as pooping in a corner. Save your time and money, The Brass Rail or Big Ten Tavern has Great chicken, Its not tough and dry like this stuff was and you will be able to pass a drug test after eating there. Harolds...Clean up your act..your off to a bad start."
"Chicken seemed slightly underseasoned but had good flavor sauce on it. Next time I’ll ask for sauce on the side because they put it over the fries too makes them not crispy. Not the same as the Harold’s I’m used to in Chicago but they just opened so maybe it’ll improve in the future. Fair prices. Menu seemed smaller compared to Chicago. Desserts looked pretty good."
